That’s the SandBar. They already had great food and great service. Looks like they are remodeling and coming back with a new name. We need this so bad in Parker.

I don't believe so they were painting the exterior Monday. Think they are still working on it.

Ok well I called the old number for Strokes just to see if it still worked. Someone answered for Whiskey River, but when I asked if they were open yet they said still at least a couple weeks out on the remodel.

I’ve never been to Sand Bar but something better than Strokes would be welcome.

Getting closer as it was still Stroke’s a few weeks ago.

I should have asked last night since we went to SandBar after watching the boat parade @ Fox’s.

Also heard on the radio that River Willow is open again.

Thanks! I called the Strokes phone number and they guy that answered said like mid December was what they were shooting for.

They could have done some business over turkey week but sometimes taking the time and getting it right is better than rushing and leaving a bad impression.

We threw in the towel on Strokes years ago. Witnessed the start of construction a month plus ago going to a storage unit directly across.

We have never eaten at the sand bar. Strokes has the patio as we always have our dog with us. Hopefully WR keeps it that way.

We’ve never eaten at Sand Bar either. So no idea whether to expect great food or just good food.

We tried that little Diner across the street once. It wasn’t anything special.

They probably don’t want the word out for a soft opening. A big turnout equals lines, delays in food, running out of food and slow service.

They probably just want to work out some kinks and then actually open.

I know it's a fresh opening! BUT! threes a charm! We pulled in about 15:30 today to have the doors closed in our face saying they were gonna be closed on Mondays during the winter, but were open for their friends and family as we were turned away. And just like the other 3 cars that pulled in at the same time (we told them they were closed as they were getting out their cars) Oh! Well! FUK IT!

Winter is the busiest time of the year! DOH smacking Head!

I stopped In Thursday night and it was packed. But I got a seat at the bar and it did not take too long to get a steak which was really quite good. However they were sold out of all the lower cost steaks so it was an expensive meal. New restaurant issues. I’ll definitely go back.

We went there tonight. Place was clean, pretty busy, and our waiter "Will" did a very good job. They ran out of spuds, and the twice baked, and a couple other things.

I had a 1/2 bottle of wine, and wife a dbl Titos.

A starter ... Calamari ... Gets an A+ was very good!

Didn't take a pic of the Dinner salad that came with the steak But it was also very good. I had blue cheese But It would of been nice to have some Blue cheese crumble in the ranch!

Now the steak! We both got the ribeye! Ordered it Medium! ...USDA Prime Angus!

They need a bit of work on the difference Between Medium and Medium rare! I have to give them a C because I hate sending anything back to get it cooked correctly!
What was in their favor is the steak wasn't over seasoned.
The roasted Brussel sprouts were crunchy.
I also didn't take a pic of the NY cheese cake but it was also tasty! ... A they ran out of the lave cake.

With the Card surcharge our tab was $201.and change and Will got his 20%

I really can't say they knocked our socks off! The seating (seats) Suck! they missed the cook on our steaks, ran out of sides, and under cooked the sprouts.
And they are expensive! Gotta wish them the best of luck! -- Not sure if and or when we might try it again!
