Which Events are Most Important to You?

We sponsor a lot of boating related events throughout the year and I was wondering which events the RDP faithful mark as the must do events. Is it DS, regattas, Monster Bash, Dave's Birthday, Tube Float, Races? Which ones do you plan on attending and why?

DS is the premier event that I attend(and the afterparty) yet not as a signed up participant, most of the others you mentioned Devon are not on my attendance list.I may be around during those times but not necessarily watching or endulging in them.

Not sure if its a RDP event but I always go to the Billy B's show in February.

We are going to go to DS for the first time this year, really looking forward to that because I am not driving or taking my boat (for now).

Last year we had quite the season, attending a couple RDP events, the Howard Regatta and 336 Enduro.

I really had a great time at the Regatta and the Enduro so those are must do events for us next year. All the RDP events (McRaftup, Damn Dam Run..etc), we usually play by ear but will probably end up at one or all of them, depending on our schedules.

I'm usually at most of the events to take pics but, I really enjoy DS, Schiada Regatta, both Billy B's, and the Enduro. All of the end of season events on the river in Parker are awesome. Cooler temps, less crowds and a relaxed vibe :thumbup:


And the McRaftup I attended was awesome too!

I participate in Desert Storm, Monster Bash and the Lake Powell Challenge. I think the Lake Powell Challenge is only going to get bigger too. I know all the events are importnat to all of us boaters.

Desert Storm is at the top of the list for me.. It's our superbowl and I enjoy the hell out of it, even though it's a lot of work. The RDP After Party at Desert Storm is technically a "separate" event so I'll list it on it's own.

For Regatta's, the Schiada regatta is hands down one of my favorite weekends, followed up by the Howard Regatta.

I enjoy the Billy B's deal at Pirates Cove.. The needles one is fun, but I think the Pirate's one is better for me.

Monster Bash was a ton of fun, and something I'll probably try to participate in next year on a personal level.. I doubt I will go all "RDP" on it.

I think we might do an RDP "Regatta" or "Poker Run" next year.. I have had a lot of people ask me to do it again from when we did that one a few years back.

The B-Day deal this year was a shit show (literally) because I got food poisoning.. Next year being the big 40, I'll probably go BIG and do it in Havasu.

The Enduro is one of the events that I look forward too immediately after it's over.. LOL Leading up to it, I stress out on it the whole time.

I'd like to go to the Lake Powell Challenge next year, it always falls on the same weekend at the Howard regattta / billy b deal though so I'm not sure if I can pull it.. I'm also looking forward to going to LOTO, and I want to go to that Poker Run in the swamp (can't remember the name of it now, but KAP always raves about it..) TX Outlaw challenge is F'n awesome..

Tickfaw 200 is the one in Louisiana. That is on my bucket list for sure.

Desert storm, 336, the car/boat show in Needles for me. Also that car/boat/air show at the AVI is pretty cool. Close to home.

In the past, we've done Damn Dam Run and this year was Dave's big birthday bash. And earlier this year, a few of us inmates ran Catalina from Dana Point. That was cool.

We should get out to the Havasu more, but I just don't know the lake. The last time we were on that water was when we took delivery of the Advantage with Bill almost 7 years ago :yikes Someone will need to give us a tour. Would love to see Pirates, Topock and the Turtle.

I like DS - beginning of the season - I have to agree with RD - like the superbowl. My wife jokes with me that it has taken the place of Christmas for us in Havasu.

The Enduro is a can't miss and have to participate, for DS I like the poker run but don't need the street party, and I need to get to Billy B's deal because those are my favorite kind of boats.

The poker runs (DS and Monster Bash) are always a great time. I think for us those events give us the best chance to connect with clients and cut loose on the same time. :thumbup:
