Where to Find Rubber Boot for Steering Wheel

I looked on ebay, Eddie Marine and cannot find this rubber boot for my steering column. If you happen to know where I might find one , I would really appreciate it. It's on a 257 Carerra Party Effect.

Those exact ones do not exist new anymore. So best option is getting lucky and finding a new old stock one somewhere.

My helm had some slop in it and ended up going to a new Uflex helm with no boot.

The boot you are displaying is not the same failed boot as what is pictured.

Does it work? Kinda but not really.

That particular helm is not made anymore.

I honestly have not looked at the original picture. I went by Outdrive 1 saying it was the same. The one I produce is almost unchanged over the past 30 years other than some minor engineering changes. Like OD1 said the original Teleflex tilt helm.

Like I said, I had the helm in the original picture with that boot that failed in the same way. It’s not an original Teleflex tilt helm.. it was some offshore replica that is no longer made. This is what Bob at Marine Industries West told me as the reason there are no parts for it.

I was going to make a bezel/spacer to make the exact boot you have fit, but then realized it was a waste of time to make a boot fit an obsolete helm that was wearing out anyway.

I make to the oem specifications. Depends on what you call bulk. The molds are expensive
