Where to buy AC Cap in Parker or Havi?

After rolling into Parker the heat pump seems to have lost a start cap for the compressor not heat but everything else is working and running as should be. I’ll test in the morning when it warms up outside.
This happened a few years back and I was gouged like 350.00 for a holiday repair. I recall others that had the same issue and can’t find any previous info on search.

Is there somewhere in Parker that sells AC parts (Capacitor) maybe Davis or True Value which I’ll try. But if not is there somewhere in Havasu that does I’ll fly up there if I have to.

There was an electrical supply just up the road from the Nordic building I think, next door to the nursery. They had all kinds of breakers and caps a few years back.

Sorry, I don't remember street names...I always get lost in Havasu.

The main capacitor that controls the pump is $15 dollars on Amazon. They charge 350 for the part on a call in SoCal.

$350 is on the low side. Sadly it costs most contractors in ca a lot more than $350 just to get the phone to ring and to get a tech to the door.

As odd as it sounds a $6 cost cap sold for $500 is sadly not a money maker.

Chris will get things handled for a low price. I tell him all the time he doesn’t charge enough. he’s the one I have do our AC work on our house. (Last thing I want to do is work on AC when I’m out there)

R u in Parker if so I bought a cap from a guy who owned a ac business he keeps stock at his place in Big River lmk if you want his info he won’t service but will guide you and sell parts

I called Charles they are booked till next week. I’m up and going swamped out the cap myself with the one I bought from Gibbs repair 928 669-0678 for SLP or anyone else.

He sold me the part checked the old one first to verify the cap was bad only on the germ side fan still ran. Took five minutes to swap out.

Thanks for all the help everyone and SLP don’t buy the hyper tough portable heater from Walmart it doesn’t produce much heat. Lol learned that early this am.

I was able to get a hold of a friend out here with an account at AC Supply Store in town. He came by and unfortunately the capacitor is in spec when tested. We were able to get the heat going but I am looking at a new compressor in the near future. Will covert the air handler over. My system is approaching 20 years to Freon is scarce R20.

22 isn't really scarece, just very expensive as it's not being produced anymore.
