Here is a real feel good - pass it on...
Who did something good for somebody over Christmas ?
Does building my BIL a relay box for his boat count? I've got a ton of time in it, and I'm not charging him a dime. Just ordered the last few pieces today.

Same scenario couple weeks ago in Seattle, didn't say anything just waved her on.Feel kinda dirty about this one…
Two days ago at Agua hotel and casino, I spotted a well chin diapered older woman anxiously waiting for the elevator by me but keeping her distance.
Elevator doors opened, she ran in, making no attempt to hold the door for me. I caught the door. She gave me the stink eye. I asked her if she’d prefer to ride up by herself. She said yes, and I told her to go ahead. She thanked me, and I stepped back and waited for the next one…
Didn’t cost me anything, but if you’re that worried about getting sick, why go to a casino lol…
Your nicer than me, I would have told her the next elevator will be down in a minute, I'm done with this BS.Feel kinda dirty about this one…

She may have just soiled herself and was saving you the painful memory and herself the embarrassment.Feel kinda dirty about this one…

She may tell the same story.Last time I made someone i didn't know really happy was about 4 years ago.
That was the last time I had a 1 night stand....
Had a guy in Snoqualmie WA get out of his car after putting 2 masks on (KN95 and standard diaper), and latex gloves. Couldn't have been over 55. He kept. standing behind his car while I was doing my card, and starting the pump...he was waiting for me to get done so I wouldn't be close to him. He didn't move until I got back in my truck. I pumped 26 gallons.... I didn't say anything to him, but holy shit some of these people got hooked by Fauci hook line and sinker..its sad in reality.Feel kinda dirty about this one…

Yesterday, I gave the waiter at the restaurant in BFE Oregon a substantial tip on a to-go order on our travels...I overheard his conversation with his co worker about what was going on in his personal life...I thought he was going to cry once he saw it. Karma is something I firmly believe in. I hope he had a much better day today.

Now that's what I call making a difference.I get a call twice or three times a year from our friends at Make a Wish foundation with a child that has very little time to live. All they would like to do is get a inflatable jumper for themselves and jump and play in it. I let them choose any color, any banner, anything they want from our website and deliver it to their home immediately. With two kids of my own, I can only imagine the happiness in that child and the parents seeing their child having such a great time. Unfortunately, I don't get to see the joy, but I know. I know the feeling. We delivered this one to Yami's house in September. She succumbed to her illness in December. She was 12 years old diagnosed with brain cancer. There are people who need the Masks for health reasons other than "Covid". I know a young man who has a Lung issue that he can not under any circumstance take any chance with an infection or breathing in any foreign airborne matter, while still going out and attempting to Live a Life.
He has said many times he has endured comments and looks at his appearance of "Over Reaction". Sometimes all is not what it seems.![]()
I'm sorry that your friend is going through that, I don't however think this guy was in that category for a lot of reasons. There are people who need the Masks for health reasons other than "Covid". I donate one to the Mrs. as often as humanly possibleOne thing everyone can do that takes little effort is to be an organ doner.
Take 'em fishing with you next time, they might actually teach you some different techniques. Some of those folks fish just to survive. Our trip there in November was very humbling.Neighbors are spending the holidays at their house in the Philippines.
I guess the wife has her Sister & friend house sitting, both from the Philippines.
They must know I fish and gave Me a wave /smile the other day driving by.
So a few days later I went fishing and kept a couple nice calico bass for them and put em on ice.
Got home and knocked on their door and said, "Merry Christmas'. They were stoked.
Next time I go fishing, I'm doing this. I usually have my son and his friend along but there's room for one more. Ironically, we went fishing NYE day and caught a beautiful stringer of rainbow trout. As we pulled up to the ramp naturally the bank fishermen wanted to know what we caught and as my son presented the stringer, I felt a little guilty as I knew they did not fare as well. A few of the young boys with their fathers looked a little sad. We will fix that next time out!I grew up poor and in several shit living situations. I was always the kid at the dock or bank watching the boats waving etc. Neighbors with rad toys were my idol's. Anyway I caught a ride or two here and there and I remember those days far more clear and fondly than most. Now I'm still poor LoLbut I have a knack for finding that little bro/chica like me and say the "hey want a ride?". I have as thread on here somewhere back in the day with pics where I took like 8 kids with me for a birthday party when a neighbor girl's parents were to high to even remember.
I do it all the time. I teach my kids: “it doesn’t cost a dime to give someone a smile”.
I really need to work on this, Great Advice!!!! going to make this a goal for 2023, Thank YouAgreed it's the simplest things sometimes!
I do a lot of management coaching in my work life. One of the things I talk to managers about is the power of praise.
There are 4 parts to a good praise;
1) as soon as possible
2) be as specific as you can
3) tell them how you feel about what they did and the impact it will make
4) encourage the behavior to continue
Everybody likes be looked in the eye and told they are doing a good job with a sense of sincerity that comes from the heart.
To your point - it doesn't cost the company or the manager (or any one of us) a penny to fill their employees with motivation sometimes. Try it on the next waiter doing a good job / your gardener that takes care of your yard etc.
Right?!Agreed it's the simplest things sometimes!

New Years eve, the power supply on my kid’s new Christmas present “gaming computer” went poof!
Micro center was open on New Year’s Day, I went and got him a new PSU and the computer fixed.
While in the store, I thanked every single employee who helped me for working on New Year’s Day so my child could play with his computer.
I don’t know these people from Adam and I‘ll probably never meet them again but just the simple act of recognizing their work gave them beaming smiles.
It doesn’t cost a penny to be kind and courteous.
Of course, I’m ready to be an asshole on a moments notice if conditions warrant.
I am the nicest Asshole you will ever meet!HAHA some would tell you I'm the biggest asshole!
