That sounds like alot of work.. im thinking I have a buddy that I think would go this route.. he would bitch about it, buy another rig, hook the boat to it, pull the jack off completely, never unhook from said rig!! Problem solved!!

This was a brand new trailer delivered to a boat Mfg..

They went to load the boat on the trailer and discovered you can’t crank the winch.

The trailer builder is going to have to fix that problem and no the solution isn’t rotating the assembly 90 degrees.

They can’t deliver a boat like that.

Would anyone want to have the release pin like that in a brand new build? I don’t think so.

You can see the boat isn’t touching the bow stop so that would put the winch handle possibly in a different location so the jack can swivel into position so then don’t hit each other

It appears that Pull Start must not have worked on the Tongue Jack and so they had to use a Floor Jack.
I don't know why the Safety Cable isn't used though as the boat has already moved back on the trailer.

That trailer was designed for the standard Fulton jack without the pull starter, not the HD pull start model. It was simply a parts bin or assembly error.

It is a $20-$50 fix.

I think custom trailers should come with removable jacks like I have on my TUFF trailer. Pull a pin and the jack can be removed or positioned where ever you want it. It would make a nice trailer look sleeker too without a jack.

On the my trailer, the jack handle hits the hull unless you muscle the bow over a bit.

Seems standard.
