I live here, 110 is about it for us these days.
Yup lolPansies....we go hunting in Yuma in September...
I must be getting Old or Soft. (Probably both, lol)
Just cancelled our trip to the river this weekend with the predicted temperatures in Havasu.
Curious - What is yore cutoff for boating temperatures?

110 is my number. I did a 118 last year and I vowed never again. Im too old I guess.About 10 years ago we schedule a week out there. First day 117, second day 116, midnight of the second day we went home. Anytime its getting close to 110 we just stay home.
Went out two weekends ago, 115, we were good. On the water, no problem. Get out early and off early. Coming off the water at 3 was rough, my buddy got heat exhaustion and passed out after wiping the boat down on the ramp. Gotta drink lots of water!! We like to wear long sleeve sun shirts like the fishermen use too
My cutoff is June-August. I have zero desire to be in anything over 90*
exactly, i dont have a place out there so ive never had the luxury of wiping down in AC. but im for damn sure not wiping it down in the middle of the day at 115° I hate wiping it down at the ramp period. ill do it at night with a whiskey in my hand. There is a thread on here arguing the value of RV garage build vs depreciating boat values and I laugh. I don't want a rv garage for my boat.... it is for me.
Hell no I'm not wiping a boat down at the ramp at 115. I do it at 8pm inside the garage with beer as my excuse to hide after dinner.
It’s not the high temp that’s the cutoff or problem… it’s the nighttime lows. Phx low for the next week is 94 degrees. Havasu low for the next week is 90. That’s what kills you!

Well.... I'm too lazy to take down the bimini too. RV garage for the heightA boat garage is different than an RV garage .
I don’t know why people wipe down on the ramp in the summer.
Agreed. Living in PHX, everything over 100 is "hot". 5, 10, 15, degrees more doesn't seem to change much. For those saying 115, who can tell the difference between 115 and 120? Seems to me at 115 gets to the point where you cant tell the difference its just HOT!
The only way I could retire in LHC is to do what my next door neighbors do. They hit the road in their Motorhome and go up North from 4th of July thru Labor Day.No limit before...but now its 110... we thought we would retire in LHC but now not too sure...
It's not a complete wipe down with product. It's a quick lap around with wet chamois to get the worst off and off we go. More extensive wipe down later onA boat garage is different than an RV garage .

Anywhere in the south is worse. I was in Alabama (near the Florida border) and Texas in the military. I will take 110 and dry in Havasu over 95 and humid in the south. The most miserable heat I’ve experience was in south Louisiana. And it seldom hits triple digits.
With the air set at 75 inside the garageThere is a thread on here arguing the value of RV garage build vs depreciating boat values and I laugh. I don't want a rv garage for my boat.... it is for me.

This. Our neighbor in Havasu is gone from Memorial Day to at least Labor Day in the RV. This would be our plan if we retire there. The only way I could retire in LHC is to do what my next door neighbors do. They hit the road in their Motorhome and go up North from 4th of July thru Labor Day.
I'm out for boating when it gets >115°F. I've done a 123°F day in Parker once. Thought I died and went to Hell, lol.
Water temp will get 90 in the peak of summer. Two years ago we were in a cove on the lake and the air temp was 121 with a surface water temp of 90. I have seen my pool at 106 with the bubble cover on. Crazy hot!Question from a Keys guy, what are the water temps? We are in the 90’s right now.
