I must be getting Old or Soft. (Probably both, lol)
Just cancelled our trip to the river this weekend with the predicted temperatures in Havasu.

Curious - What is yore cutoff for boating temperatures?

We're staying in PHX, still going to be hot as balls here but I won't go out in the boat over 110 usually. Just not worth it, those are pool days if we are in Havasu.

Wife planned a trip for us to come down mid-August. Hoping it's 110 or less. Been out when it was 120+ and it was absolutely miserable! But we'll probably be out no matter the temp, when you get one trip a year down from Idaho, you make the most of it!

We just get on the water a little earlier.

My limit is 2 boating rides where it feels like a hair dryer is blowing in my face.

I can handle the ride back in a washing machine that is also an oven, but I need that morning smooth run before the air temps get too hot.

One Havasu summer weekend in August it was 122+ and we had problems with almost the whole crew of 10+ and varied levels of near heat stroke. Coming back from the sandbar to windsor we couldnt drive for more than 10 min before everyone had to jump-in the water to cool off and re-wet towels. We were in our 20's so Im sure we had run out of non-alcoholic drinks hours earlier. My go to is dunking tshirts in the ice chest to cool people down. I remember my sandles melting on the asphalt as I walked around the gas pump at Videl Junction to the guy somehow selling snow cones. F that.
Its no fun over 115 moving in a boat. We swore August was going to be our forever OC beach month but now we have a house in Parker with misters on the patio where we can come and go from the AC so we go as much as possible no matter the weather.

River Karen's Place 🤣🤣

If there's a river or lake to dunk in me and my tribe are good to go at 115-120

Now Glamis or Desert at 100°? I'm a Karen😂.
I'll still riding but I'm twatty

Edit:
I remember Needles 1997 or so 127°
Nobody went inside the house.

Can’t remember the year but my dad and I jumped in the water. By the time we were in the front seats we were dry. I wanna say it was like 123 or something.

Yep, I’m right there with a bunch of you guys as well. 110 is the cutoff. Last Labor Day my wife wanted to go out, and it was in the high teens. I said I’m out! Ended up taking one of my sons and his wife.

Pansies....we go hunting in Yuma in September...
Now that’s a different story.......... I just have to stick it out, If it’s really smokin, we will go out later , an hour before sunset or so. Usually limit out anyhow.

Im good to the 120 range as long as we are in the water. I rember one yearin the 90s it hit 127 on Mohave and it was misserable. Nobody was out in the boats on the lake. everyone was just sittin in the water.

116 is usually the limit.
That said, I am sitting in my trailer at the Islander (75 inside trailer 24/7). and will be boating Fri afternoon until Sunday night. 122+ is when the Islander starts having power issues (place is empty, so hoping that does not occur).
Trip was planned and I needed to inspect boat repair before I issue payment today.

I stayed home this weekend because Parker is supposed to be 120/121 on Sat/Sun. While I don't mind sitting neck deep in the water all weekend with a beverage and straw if need be, I have a kid and my dad to keep entertained. Going more than about 30mph in a boat or on a jet ski at 120° feels like a torch blowing in my face. Fuck all that. I'll wait till next weekend when it's only 114° lol
