A keystone minibike when i was 4, it was red and a pull start, i remember the cover fell off and exposed the sharp edges where the pull start rope wraped around when he was riding it, my best freind, who is now my brother in law, still bears the huge scar on his leg from where is tried to remove his calf...:D

Early 70's Suzuki enduro type POS when I was 12. Then a '72 DT360 Yamadog. Push that SOB more than I rode it.
Then a 76 Husky 360. Great bike.

The YZ80 was my first one also. Back then you had the Honda XR75 or the Yamaha YZ80. I still have mine, its restored to original. I believe its a 1975 or 1976.

1970 Yamaha CT175 Enduro and a 1972 Yamaha DT360. The DT had so much power it was hard to ride. Both were awesome bikes and rode the hell out of them. Wish I still had em' around.

1959 Zundap Challenger. In Louisiana it was legal to get a motorcycle license at 14.

My Grandmother loved it.

Great pic! I swear she look's like my Grandma and she's the type that would like a bike ride and white water rafting.

My first was a Yamaha 50 or 80? in 1972, placed 3rd :D in my first race and never raced again.:smackhead :hmm

Actually I lied. This was the first one.

1959 Sears Moped. Mom & Dad gave it to me for Xmas. I rode it for one month and had to step up.

Dad said it was OK to trade it if I paid it off. He still owed $60 to Sears. It cost $145. Moped + paper route money = Zundap.

My first Motorcycle was a 1981 Yamaha Seca 750 CC, street bike DOHC motor with 1 carb per cylinder, (4 cylinders) and 2 into 1 exhaust on each side. (like pictured below) but i had the fairing on mine.....

At the time it was the quickest quarter mile bike, i think it did 95 mph's in a 10 second quarter mile. Started riding with my learners permit at 15.........damn i loved that bike.......never went down in the 14 years i rode it.

But every time i get serious to get another street bike i see those damn web videos of peple getting crashed under trucks and cars, plus now there are cell phones.....then i think twice about getting back on one.....

We had a couple minibikes with lawnmower engines. My dad had to chop the frame to lower it for my brother. Then we got a QA-50. Man what a dream. Then we decided we wanted a clutch and got a Gemini 50. An off brand imported through CA with engine that was really a Yamaha 80. Then an XL 70. It was great. My brother got the MR-50, 2 stroke, didn't run great.

Beat the shit out of it. Had to order parts for it through the Sears catalog system.
Kickstarter moved forward.

Is that a Honda Trail 50? My older brother got one of those. We used to get in all kinds of trouble for dragging our feet and ruining our shoes while wheeling down the street. Good times!

For me, it was a used XR75 in 1974

A Suzuki 50. The neighbors owned a motorcycle shop and their kids had outgrown it, so they let us use it.

Honda 50. 1968 model yellow and white.

The one where the handle bars folded down. My Dad used to put it in the trunk of his Cadillac's and take me to Escape Country, Saddleback, and Claude Ostiens (SP?). :D I was maybe 4 or 5.

Then the list gets pretty long. :D

Looked exactly like this...

1972 Honda SL70, don't know the cost, it was a birthday present for my 10th b'day. I rode the shit out of this thing until I was 14 when I replaced it with a Honda Elsinore 125. That was a bad bike. KB
