2 of the best regattas I have ever attended were with the Las Vegas Hot Bot group. One On Mohave and the other on Mead we had plenty of boating and by mid day found a great beach lots of Kids games with prizes and a not a poker run run some people camped overnight on the beach. next day different groups headed out and did their own thing or joined up with other groups. And of course a little drinking.

The engine on the Euro is a stock 300 Pro Max on a custom 15" mid that takes a 3 liter powerhead and a 2.5 lower unit. Makes a real nice lake setup.

I really want to pull the trigger on a Mach 22 or a 22 Daytona but the more I realize how much of a money pit boats are the more and more I have a hard time throwing the money at one. I love boating, I love the people and I love the culture but I struggle with the idea of spending several hundred dollars on a weekend on the boat knowing I can put that money elsewhere.

Top speed does not mean much in our end of the world. It is who gets there first. 1/8 mile drag racing is the main event at all of our rallys.

For that purpose. I use a 26" Yamaha drag on the Euro which rips your head off and gets 92-93 in the 1/8th. I use a 32 Cleaver for river running.

I know that the amount of money we spend on boating isn't anything compared to the big dogs, but every dollar we have ever spent is well worth it when I consider all of the fantastic memories with lifelong friends that have come out of all of our "money pits". Plus, it's probably cheaper than therapy for stress relief... LOL hahaaa Just my .02
