What time do you eat your Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner? When my in-laws hosted it, they would start around 2-3pm and I hated that because you would eat and then go in a coma by 3:30 and the day would be over.

Now that we've started hosting it for the past five-six years, we start around 5-6pm. It gives us more time to hang out with the family and play games etc...Also, it gives us more time to drink and get drunk which is always more fun (most of the time 😆).

So what time does your feast start?

The wife has already started cooking for tomorrow, she times it out to the second. She says 3pm and the food will be 100% ready to eat, she will not wait for anyone. I am looking forward to it, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

we plan on 2 and usually eat at 3. Earlier enough so I can eat a turkey sami later. I would rather skip the whole meal just for sami.

6 -7. First time in a long time it's just the two of us and that's the normal time we eat. Looking forward to a chill day, maybe a few cocktails before we eat!!

A little earlier tomorrow than usual. We’re trying to work around a snow storm. 😁

I tell my wife the turkey will be ready at 5. Smoking it takes longer than I think. She gets a little bothered. We end up eating about 6-630.

I ask if she wants to cook the turkey, try to time when it will be done, and keep it from getting all dried out if it's done early. She always declines.

We both forget how it all happened and repeat the next year 👍

We are targeting 4pm.
Just got to Tucson and the RV settled.
4pm depends on how much I drink tonight while socializing at the KOA

My father likes it late for some reason. 6-7. Stuff yourself while the pies cook and then dessert after around 8:30 or so.

If I could pick the time it would be like 4 pm. Then by the time dessert is over you can still digest for a few hours.

Family always did the 2pm thing. Never really understood why. Now that I’m older and shit. It’s usually when the wife says “it’s ready” 🤷🏻‍♂️

4 seems to be when we eat each year.

I just cracked open a couple bottles of champagne for our family, so we shall see if we make that time this year. 🥂 😂

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I like to eat around 3PM, but son in law is a CHP. He gets off around 5:30, so we will adjust for a brother in blue.

Just got done cleaning up after stuffing my face, sitting on couch for the remainder of the evening.
Enjoy the rest of your day RDP!

We used to eat early with my mom at a local restaurant (11:00 - 12:00) and then hit the road to Havasu right after. That was our routine every year. My mom's dementia is so bad now she can't comprehend what holidays are anymore. This is the first year in a longtime that we are staying in SoCal so we will be eating about 6:30 - 7:00. No other family left in the area so it's just the two of us.
