I know some CC's are worth some bank,, and some are not.
What your true estimate value of the boat in this episode?
Boat segment starts at 3:50.

Im with you on that one. I think they did too. A big, old school boat like that in today's market.... I wouldnt imagine would be worth crap.

I don't have a value for it, but yes, we think they got hosed. That boat has probably been in Mead for years and never taken care of.

If someone bought it to restore it, that's one thing....but to pawn it. Oie.

It's a soulless boat that happens to carry a quality name. It was built during a "rough" period for all fossil fueled vehicles, and hasn't been maintained very well.

The 12K price sounds about right IMHO...

And then deduct another 5K for the shirt and sunglasses. They SCREAM Dousche bag:moon::bash:

Ya I think they figured they need somehwere around 22-24k to break even on the boat too!! Good luck! There are a lot of other boats I'd rahter have for that much money. Like the Schiada Community has for sale!! I want that boat!

I dont think I could sell that boat for 5k! Its old, dated, its got water damage, according to the owner, and its got all the wrong shit on it. Wow, $16,500, i bet that guy is dancing to the bank!

Was Christ Craft kinda like Harley Davidson was back in the no quality days?

Remember before the last big buyout Harleys were awful? The companies fell on hard times over fuel prices and apathetic management.

Weren't they all owned by a parent bowling ball company that didn't give a crap?

Or was that Bayliner?

That's what we figured, maybe less,, and then if ya had the ambition to do the restoration yourself.

I watched the last two parts and it looks like they replaced both drives on the boat and said one engine was blown. They said the total for repairs was 4k! LOL...uh ok. Than the "boat mechanic" said they could sell the boat for 30k+. Wow, is this show staged like Operation Repo?

Starting to look that way.
The Coke machine episode was the tell.

Look closely at the merchandise in the transaction, before and after the resto.
Coke machine fans are screaming "not the same machine, they did a switch."

You must be married and have selective hearing?:D They said main engine fuse was blown thats why it wouldn't start and after replacing it was fine. The changed oil in both engines and serviced drives acid washed drives, painted and detailed boat for $4K.

I saw the Coke machine episode and they were pretty clear they used the shell of the original but that was it. Either way came out cool.

I'm thinking they might be sitting on that boat for a long while, however being that it was on a TV show it got some serious exposure and might be exactly what someone out there is looking for. $10K tops IMO

The older machine had larger radii on the outside than the new one.

I don't know why they spent so much for this boat, they seem to be unusually cheap when buying other things of value. As a comparison I had a very clean 1983 CC Scorpion 260hp volvo drive with new custom upholstery. Sold in for $5000 in 2001 and was glad to get that price.

True. Someone did by a boat with F bombs all over it and skeletons flipping you off just because it was built for Jesse James.

I saw this episode a few weeks ago. There is no way they will get over 5k for that pile.

Those guys are stupid. the bought a car (if I remember right it was a Lincoln) that they lost their asses on too. The pawn boys need to stick to arts, jewelery and guns.

I'm surprised by your response, Dennis. I was sure you would cite the boat value at least in the $100K range.
