The reason I like jetboats. No other boats are advancing as quickly. I have had V drives, I\Os and out boards. Allways end up back with jets. If you make it up this way you need the e ticket ride here is a short vid of 09(black\orange)

between the two videos we went to mexico Bay of la to Cabo and back 15 days of living on the boat and beaches. Tuna fishing 80 miles off the oregon coast out and in every day 7 day trip. Along with 15 days in Hells canyon (my favorite) Next big adventure is your colorado river. Just start a ways north of you all in the real river sections. As for speed boats yea they are jets to. The new 23 foot tubine Bratt\Eagle has already ran 140. When is the 300 going to let the whitewater boys come play? and just think all from a simple ditch pump:cool:

Looks like a blast, can't imagine on of those things losing power though. Might get really exciting really quick.

I have i/o now, but miss my jet days. Sold it 3 summers ago! Had it on local BC rivers and lakes, columbia river wa and oregon areas. Did Lake Shasta and around Red Bluff, so SAC river, etcetera. 18 foot Marlin that was cheap to buy, easy to tow and launch all over. At every place other jet boaters chased me down and we'd end up floating an drinking beer! No other boats get a fellow boater chase you and stop to chit chat with usually an offer to come hang drink beer! Favorite part is the friendly attitude of most jet folk and get free beer!!!!!

1979 - Sleekcraft - 23' Executive Day Cruiser - Twin Indamar 454 Chev. hooked up to twin Panther Jets. Bruce Nescher built the boat for a chev. dealer in L.A..I bought from him in 1989.Burns thru the fuel, but still worth it.Boat was fast in it's time.:thumbsup

HMMMM! Wish I was that far ahead and mine was that size! IN the middle or rebuilding a 26' Ambassador with twin 460's and twin Berk JG's at the moment.........among other things........ Pics are from when I first bought it. Build pics will wait until it is in the water.......VOLUMES of them.

As far as why I love jets? The simplicity, safety, and obviously, they can run damn near on just a wet floor.

Seen first hand what can happen when a prop cuts someone up or fouls itself on a rock, first, and second, so many moving parts where a jet only has one. Most of us jet guys have more engine trouble than jet trouble and THAT is mostly due to impoper planning and / or execution on the engine. That is my own experiences talking.
