I will say I’ve had 2 superintendents work for us (over 50 years old) that legitimately could not read. However they could “read” plans. It blew me away.

Lamm said, “I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure that we have various cultural subgroups living in America reinforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities.”

“Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high school.”

“My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of ‘Victimology.’ I would get all minorities to think their lack of success was the fault of the majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority population.”

“My sixth plan for America’s downfall would include dual citizenship and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Victor Davis Hanson is the author of the book referenced by Lamm.
And yeah, the weak minded will fail to grasp Governor Lamm’s comments on Hansons book, and the book itself as a warning on the celebration of diversity rather than embracing assimilation. They will cry “Racist” as Rome burns.
Maintaining diversity is what has brought us to the mess we are in.
I don’t care if I’m white and you’re Black or brown, if we don’t all be “Americans” first than America will cease to exist. I also don’t care at all what color your skin is, if you are anti American then you are my enemy. There can be no America without Americans.

This thread, although I didn't read most of it reminds me of the does your boat define you thread. Many of the boaters are looking down on the non boaters, the same way the rest of us look down at jet boats lol, or let's say someone pulls up their "pos" boat next to a DCB/skater/mti etc. I guarantee you that they are having just as much fun in their "pos" as the people with those expensive boats.

Everyone has fun in their own different ways, different music, different heritage and definitely different age group. Half of us here were those 20 year Olds everyone else complains about now.
I used to only go to the lower sandbar and party, now that I'm "old" and have my kid we don't go there. Why go places you know you're not going to enjoy because of the atmosphere and then complain about it. It's like going to a country bar and expecting to hear hip-hop.
