I met your grandpa out at Parker last summer when I was running my 24 spectra. I built that Sanger when I was 17 years old almost 25 years ago. It was a great boat then, so glad he kept the boat up!Dads boat is a 71' Hallett he bought in boxes about 20 years ago. Original gel without a crack in it and we have beat the hell out of it the entire time we've had it. It has a 396 that is like a damn lawn mower. Thing is a tank and a ton of fun. I had a great time growing up with it.
Grandpa's is a 70' Sanger 17'10" with a fresh 454. The rest of the family got him back into the boating world after around a 30 year hiatus and he bought the sanger around 15 years ago. It was in "ok" shape when he bought it and now it's a show stopper. Another boat I've been blessed to be raised on. Very proud of the boat and my 85 year old grandpa continuing to wheel it. My uncle also has a little 69' Magnum with a 454 which runs hard. Fresh engine with aluminum heads this season, large tunnel ram and twin carbs next.

and I FINALLY bought my first flattie last year about 5 years too late lol. Wanted one just like Dads, found a 71' hallett that hadn't ran in 10 years. This thing is a very light layup in comparison though. It was set up as a marathon runner, currently has two 20 gallon tanks that are getting cut out and some floor repair done later this month. The trailer will be next on the list once I catch up on all the BS that comes with bringing this thing back to life. I'm almost there.. View attachment 899989

So my parents just gave me a handful of pictures. Some from Parker and some from home....all cool. First pictures of the Stevens is of my Grandpa, Pop and their friend Clark with his boat Satin Doll. I believe it had a Cadillac with three 2 barrels. Next is the Hallett and then some random pictures of the Schiada and my parents. Cool stuff. I dig the old stuff [emoji16] View attachment 900080

After a 20 year hiatus the Magnum will be coming back to Parker sometime soon. Peter Giroux has been working on it.
Nice 'Cuda!

There's nothing I don't like about that trailer, from the wood steps, to the white walls and especially the baby moon hubcaps. Nice.

Looks like it even had a floater light bar on the back.

So what's up with that '57 in the alley? Maybe an old drag car? View attachment 900370

Pops has had the car for 53 years now. It spent most of its time at drag strips. Here it is today. View attachment 900373

That is one nice boat!!
So Keith tells me last night that they'll be on the water at 5:45 this morning and like an idiot, I show up at 5:45. 4 cups of coffee later at 8am they finally start to launch their boats. He came by me and puts Fire Water in the air, would have been a cool pic if I only had my phone.
Great pic Wheeler, gotta love their sense of humor!

Were you looking for a Tahiti jet or outboard?I found one of those little tahiti's but it's an outboard. Down the street from tank as a matter of fact.So Keith tells me last night that they'll be on the water at 5:45 this morning and like an idiot, I show up at 5:45. 4 cups of coffee later at 8am they finally start to launch their boats.
