I love my Brad Ski! Still have it and it was my HighSchool graduation present, all 3 of my kids have Brads as well. The add with the tiny ski in his had is so appropriate, if anyone ever shook this guys hand you would quickly see how big his hands were. He was a very nice man as well.

I still have my 2nd Brad, traded in my first one towards it. 1972 if I remember right. And somewhere packed away I still have a t shirt from that same era.
A friend of mine, Frank Fowler, taught Brad how to work with wood and make his jigs. Brad always used local high school kids to work in his shop, the one on Lakewood Blvd. I don't know about the other shop he had for a while in the industrial park right off the 605. Frank also taught Doug Carr on Signal Hill how to do the same for his woodie shop. Fowler had a woodie shop in Paramount back in the day and but his main business was custom cabinets. He still has the shop but it's full of hot rods and vintage outboard engines.

Part of my collection at the River house.
Have examples of most of the classics. Each one has a story and was given to me. Lots of memories on the wall!
I still Ski on one of the Featherglides and the Big Brad.
Getting started on another wall...always looking for donations!<grin>

Glad you like it.
Just wanted to put stuff up at the River house that ties into the lifestyle.
Was kinda fun building all of it.
People really dig it when they see it.
Way better the World Market/Bed Bath and Beyond junk most people put up out there<grin>

I didn't know you had all that stuff! Love the bell housing clock! :)

Bottom picture is me on my Murdoch Play Ski coming back from the dam just above the rock bar in the summer of 74.
Still had it after all these years and decided to get creative with it for the house out there.
Picture hangs next to it on the lower left.

That's a great shot Dave! You got some air!!! It would be cool to take one of these old skis and refurbish it to perfection. Make it look like furniture like the wood decks that are restored.

Just to finish up on what I call “V Drive Wall Art”...once some buddies saw the stuff, they wanted me to make them something out of what they had sitting around.
If any of you guys want something like this, let me know. Usually takes a couple hours and parts to make.

1983 in our all wood Litchfield.
Long before cell phone and GoPro pictures!
Shot really illustrates why this stretch of the river is called Ski/Glass Alley. My favorite part from my childhood because you could get some good cuts in.
Family knows this...when time comes...my ashes will be scattered here.

Dave, if you send me the print of this pic or better yet, a negative I could probably make it look pretty good.

Gosh it looks better already!
I'll get a print together!

Here's a couple out of the Archives you would like...
My Grand Daughter just turned 13! A Teenager!
The guy in the Seat is still a Teenager at Heart...GOD Bless him!

Numbers matching COPO 427.
Just found the proper manifold for it. Switching out soon.

Love it... I owned one of those for a little bit, but the deck was dry rotted and had a bum motor, that turned out to be out of a truck (390) instead of the 427 I was lead to believe it was. It was above my head project wise. Wish I had the skills or money to restore the old boat.
