Only the rich and I'm not talking bout Ritchey. We're all in Havasu. No really, every body.
Hopefully I will be back up in a few weeks
Nope lol , need to change the prop to a 2 blade chopper and pic up some rpm , was running about 5100 rpm want it up to 6k and see how it handles that but I do like the 3 blade as it doesn’t vibrate like the 2 blade does .Saw the video. Boat looks great dude!
You happy with it?

Do u guys know of anyone in Parker or near by that can help set up my cav plates ???? Or what they should be set at when the peddle is off ???
pm the number if u don’t mind .Get a hold of Mark and Jimmy Steven's. They will know what your type of hull wants instead of just guessing. Not sure if they're out at the river this weekend but you could call them. View attachment 748966
This one?Damn that's cool.
Have you seen that all flake (I can't see most colors) Byers that the couple that live half way to your place on our street picked up last year? SBC with 3 two's. Got to ride in it when they put it in for the first time. Its very cool. They have a place almost across the street from 'Puddle Head"and she's been going there her whole life. Can't remember their names, they were their last weekend too.
Where u at wheeler ?? That looks like u took those pics from marina annex beach ????
Dude it’s loud lol u can hear that sucker from a mile away lolMarina Village launch ramp. If your boat was louder, I might get a few pix of you.

Wheelers good people!Been reading his post's for quite a while and always enjoy his pictures too, but actually meeting Wheeler, well that's been difficult. Everyone in the Village knows him and has stories about him but he's seldom seen, stealthy would be a good way to describe him. Well Friday who wanders down to our cabana but the man, the myth, the legend, Wheeler!
It was great to hang out with you for a while....

I just did a little run . Depends what side of river your on 6 am or 7am.
Until I ran out of gas and floated for 1/2 hour . I even put 10 gallons in before I left the beach .
I guess I was having to much fun . A fishing boat grabbed some gas from my camp site
Thank god for early fisher men / women .
My wife was asleep the entire time had no idea . Lol
Wheelers good people!
Think about this for a moment. Old Rigger and I joined RDP five days apart. We both have a place in Marina Village yet we never met, we both hail from LA, both of us are about the same age and came to Parker about the same time. Neither of us are logged in at the same time and one of us started his posting career with a vengeance not all that long ago and while I had been somewhat dormant.
The question you must ask yourself, is there really an "Old Rigger" or is he someone that lives in my head ...and yours.
Nice, is that the same Schiada you have today?

I'm not really a post whore, Rd duplicated about half my posts.Something else to think about, in the same amount of time as members on this site, I've posted just under 700 times while Big Foot...I mean Wheeler, being "somewhat dormant" well over 15 thousand.

It was nice to finnaly be able to sit down and visit with you and your better half. I'll try to stop by more often.Been reading his post's for quite a while and always enjoy his pictures too, but actually meeting Wheeler, well that's been difficult. Is this a call out thread now??
I know I know, it's a jet being posted up in the midst of all these v-drives but this was one fun boat. Pic is from '82ish in front of our dock down at Marina View. An old friends Rogers, a '74 if I remember right, he's riding shotgun, one of his oldest friends behind him and another buddy behind me at the wheel. Thing hauled ass and the biggest problem we had was trying to keep gas in it. Lost a cam racing at Ski Land, after that we re-set the intake, Striegel rebuilt the engine and I think that's when he removed the name, "100 Proof". He ran it a few more years, sold it and bought a Rogers 20 outboard. that OB ended up in Florida when another one of our friends (RIP Jay) bought it and took it East.
I was working at Rogers back then, lotta fun. Great time in my life.

I have some photos from '63 or so I'll try to find. Some 8mm from ski land too.Yeah, I could swear that's the same builder that someone posted a brochure that had some pencil line drawings that needle nose deck? I could be thinking of anther builder but something's telling me it was D&H.
You definitely got some great advice. But setting up plates is all about "feel" when you are driving it. The best way in my experience is to bring a 4 foot level and a couple of open end wrenches with you and set the plates to level /flat a notch or two on the up side of the lock handle. Go for a short spin and see how it feels at your normal operating speed and weight distribution. (if you're wife almost always rides with you then have her in the boat. Same thing with kids and coolers). Adjust the plates as needed. Pretty simple.Do u guys know of anyone in Parker or near by that can help set up my cav plates ???? Or what they should be set at when the peddle is off ???
