It's a wrap for the weekend...I'm beat
Spent most of the day doing molding filling gaps, holes and sanding. Smooth like butter and ready for stain.
What are you using to help open the lid and prevent slamage? Automotive rear hatch shocks would be cool I'm sure I have the brackets from the wave blaster kits I made.
Might as well add the LED lights to it as well. There's 4 at the office whenever you work again, should have delivered last Friday.
Wish I would have seen this thread earlier, I've got a coffee table audio system for sale in the everything else section here, I'd have just given it to U. Sorry CT.
URS looks kinda cool.

Settle down, Ethan Allen...
Save me the seat on top when you drop the bass, by the way....
Cool project [emoji106]
You concerned at all about the amp killing the converter since there is no battery to even out the draw on it?View attachment 486124 View attachment 486125 View attachment 486126
Have the hardware mounted and started on the wiring. Getting closer even though Amazon is lagging on the new 12" sub.
Should be able to finish staining it and wrap it up Saturday.
All the car stereo shops I worked in during college we ran the demo amps right off the ac/dc converter with no problems. And we abused those demo wall set ups! [emoji15]You concerned at all about the amp killing the converter since there is no battery to even out the draw on it?
That is awesome. If you can find a big capacitor (usually used for high power sub amps) that would really help out the power supply and the sub amp. Like this:
