Oldest son calls me a 2am Denver time.
Some shithead, decided to do a random drive by in Denver. Idiot fired through multiple apartments and complexes.

Window is his bedroom window and ceiling above his bed.

He is safe, but has been asked to leave his apartment for at least 2 days so an investigation can occur.

Wow, that sucks. Glad he's OK.

IDK what's up with Denver, but seems like lots of shitheads up there.. Pot shops on every corner, lots of purple haired weirdos. Didn't like it when I visited last year..

Cherry Creek used to be a high rent part of town...
Yep.
He has worked his way up to nicer complexes and now is thinking about going back to the hood. He had less issues in his low rent complexes :)

He said these folks bitch about every little thing, but when he was in the getto complexes, they were happy he showed up within 30 minutes to fix stuff

Colorado Democrats have recently struck down House Bill 1092, a bill that would have instituted minimum sentencing for offenders convicted of selling or buying children for the purposes of exploitation. The bill was heard in the House State, Civic, Military and Veterans Affairs Committee, which is also known as the "kill committee." On Thursday, the panel lived up to its nickname, killing the bill on an 8-3 party-line vote. The eight Democrats who voted to stop HB 1092 were State Reps. Andrew Boesenecker, Kyle Brown, Elisabeth Epps, Jennifer Lea Parenti, Naquetta Ricks, Manny Rutinel, Jenny Wilford, and Steven Woodrow.

Democrat playground.

Its sad, its gone the way of most big cities............
My whole family lives in the Greater Denver Area. I used to love that town. Since it has gone blue, it has ruined Denver. Due to the concentration of Libs and Patagonia wearing environmentalists, they are slowly ruining the state. When I go visit family, I have no interest in even going into Denver. It sucks.

Of course, sorry to hear about the close call with your son. However, Metro Denver is still a great place to live. 95% of this state is quite conservative, save for Denver and Boulder.

I go to Denver often for hockey and baseball games and meet friends, mostly former work colleagues. Never any problems, but this is through the lense of growing up and working in Detroit😀

Here’s this morning’s edition of this place sucks, a whopping 90 minutes from world class skiing.😉

Prepping the KTM now for some good cardio at the local MX track. Looks like another fine day.

I think your exaggerating on the 95% I lived there for 15 years closer to 60% now. Sorry to say it turned into a very liberal state years ago sad really because there are a lot of cool places.

This. It used to be more conservative (with only pockets of liberal thinking). When Covid hit and folks started working remotely or moving - CO got hit and went south.

Well, all I know is in my local area, not far from Denver. Here, it’s 10 minutes in and out of the local DMV, without a reservation, very little crime, great healthcare, people watch out for their neighbors, volunteer, contribute to charities and churches everywhere.

Low 4.4% income and reasonable property tax rates and balanced local municipal budgets, if not surpluses. Call it what you want.

I’d leave my place as well, if I woke up to bullet holes in my ceiling.

Well, it did get off to an inauspicious start, bullet holes in the ceiling. Kind of tough to recover from that 😳
😂. All good. It’s a beautiful state. One of the few cold weather areas I’d live in. All big cities are a little sideways these days.

Glad nothing happened to your son Singleton.

My youngest daughter lives in Cherry Creek and works in downtown Denver. I fear every time she has to go into work.

Born & raised here. It's sad to see what happened to Denver. Its not the same place that used to be a special visit as a kid.
