I have a different take on this. I think the gun form crime was a stretch. As I understand it, if you pay your back taxes, penalties and interest (which was done) there is almost no chance that you will be criminally prosecuted.

I believe the prosecution took place in an effort to validate all the shit that they were trying to do to Trump. I also believe that the plan the whole time was for Biden to Pardon him. If he had stayed in the running and won, he would have done it on Jan 21. If he lost he would have done it before Jan 20. Then he was removed. In that case he was going to do it before whomever won took office.

Frankly, I don't give a shit. The one that I still fume about is when that Piece of Shit, Arnold Schwarzenegger commuted the sentence of Esteban Nunez. The son of Arnold's good friend , Fabian Nunez. Esteban stabbed a young man to death because he wouldn't let him into a party. In the car with his homies he laughed about it and said "my dad will get me out of it". He was sentenced to 19 years for second degree murder. An hour before leaving office that POS commuted his sentence and let him out of prison after serving eight years.
