I have a car problem, my wife refers to them as my accessories. 😂 At any given time I usually have between 4-6 cars in the stable that each has its own purpose. I really wish I had a silver bullet in the mix that was my go to, the closest I’ve come over the years was a late model 4x4 suburban. Drove great, towed well to a certain weight, could fit a 4x8 sheet of plywood in back with seats down, kid hauler, mom friendly, really checked a lot of boxes for me. I’m thinking of getting another one and thinning the herd.

What’s your go to daily driver that checks all the boxes?

We have a 16 Suburban and that is the go to.
17 malibu next.
My 02 silverdao does a fine job holding the garage concrete down.
And my girls have an 01 silverado they drive when not using the Malibu.
We have a few more but they are not dailies.

Kinda funny as my go to is my suburban as well. I’ve got seven cars sitting here to drive but my go to is a 2011 suburban and 99% of the time it’s only me in it.

Currently have 6 cars.

My go to and my newest and the biggest PITA is my 2021 JLUR. Randomly the pile likes to drain its battery over night and leave me hustling for another car when I have to drop the kid off at school. Weird part is sometimes this happens after a week , some times a day and other times 6 months. Luckily I have older cars that always run....lol

I need to get it into the dealer as I still have 6 months on the warranty but I know it won't duplicate.

I switch based on my mood or how far I’m going. Most of the time I drive my 19 F150, when I get sick of climbing up in it (6inch lift on 37s) I drive my wife’s 19 Escalade. When I have to go to bad parts of town, airport or long commutes I take my 07 Lexus GS350. The Lexus has 165K miles, runs like a sewing machine, gets great gas mileage but looks a little rough.

I switched from a Ford Super Duty to an M2 for daily driving.

Small, nimble, fast and easy to park.

And cheap enough that you don't get too angry when it gets fucked up in parking spots by the average brail enabled driver.

Depends on what jobs are going on. I have 5 dedicated work vehicles. First thing this morning dropped off a truck load of plywood and drywall with the regular cab long bed 2016 2500hd i bought from a member here. Hooked up a dump trailer from that job and went back and grabbed my 2014 chevy express 2500 that had a kitchen load of cabinets in it and dropped those off at a job. Went back and grabbed the 2017 E350 plumbing van I got from Chanel. Working out of that today.

Tonight I have to pick up doors and will use the reg cab long bed Chevy as I need to tie them to the rack. I probably use that 1 the most for running around picking stuff up snd hauling dump trailers. Have a 2005 Tundra long bed but it has no rack or hitch. The extended express van second as I can fill it at night and unload whenever rain or shine. Was going to sell it but it gets used more than I thought the Ford was supposed to replace it.

2016 Suburban. Typical about 140 miles a day. I trust nobody in the freeway and feel extremely unsafe in a standard car, I want some material and weight around me.

2023 Chevy Bolt. Have not bought gas for an everyday driver since November of 2023.

Tax credits sure helped off-set some of the wife's stock sales & dividends.

Both trucks are parked. Last time I drove one was 2 months ago. Summer is coming so that will change as one of the trucks is used more.

And if I need to the local market or mini mart I’ll take the buggy or ride the cr500 since both plated in az.

But that’s only if it’s under 90 degrees. 😱

I just bought another commuter, a 13 Nissan Altima. I got home yesterday and jumped into my Suburban to go pick up the kids and realized how much more I liked that truck lol The Nissan is simply to save wear and tare, milage and gas on the Sub. Ive never had a car that I was fond of, but I have loved all of my trucks, even the squarebody's

Wish you knew where that Riviera went, Id love to add one to my fleet

Nothing close to a silver bullet in our fleet of 5. Got rid of my daily lowered F150. That truck was pretty great.

Replaced the F150 with a '21 Cayenne GTS. It only does a handful of things well. 1. Looks killer. 2. Sounds amazing (twin turbo V8). 3. Gets there really fast. 4. It's comfy.

My wife just picked up a new QX80 for big comfy SUV things. It's nice and smooth and seats 7. She has a '99 SL500 w/ 16k miles for convertible days. We then have both German and American two-door sports covered with a '91 911 and a '99 SS.

I think a silver bullet is a suburban or a full-size crew cab truck. I'd probably add an early 2000s Silverado sometime in the future.

I just unloaded 400lbs of car parts out of the POS...it's a greyish silver...but ain't no bullet. Gets from A to B at 45mpg, and don't have to worry about attracting attention...from cops or females. Maybe man buns, but I digress....

Just picked up my new daily driver. Now that I just retired I have to pay for my own ride and buy my own gas. Damn that sucks.

No such thing (silver bullet).

Fun/autox/track: 2020 MX-5 Club (modified)
Traffic/highway: 2020 CX-5 GTR (modified)

Just realized when thinking about replacing the two next year with a Boxster GTS and Macan GTS that I may never get a 911. :(

I drive 75 miles daily for work so I’m sporting a 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid. It’s actually kinda fun to drive and gets 42 mpg. I’d much rather be driving a bigger vehicle like my F350 but fuel will be $6 bucks a gallon soon so that’s probably not going to happen, lol 😂

The amazing Chrysler wiring issues i discovered while doing the motor on my wife’s ‘13 JK cemented my decision to never buy another Chrysler product - ever. All the forum posts you read on the jeep pages that just helplessly end without an answer to debilitating codes and thousands spent at dealers throwing parts at them, are all sadly results of this wiring. Never seen a 10 year old harness just crumble when you look at it….its insane

Right now the company truck is a '24 F150. It's got the ecoboost 3.0 or something. Thing is quick and fuel efficient. I think I'm averaging around 26mpg or so and it's hardly broken in (less than 7k miles). The 2nd car used to be a '04 G35 coupe. LOVED driving that thing. Quick and handled like a slot car. Now the personal is a '09 Escalade ESV. It's nice and comfortable, but not exciting to drive to me. It's bone stock. It is nice when I don't have the kids and I can crank up the stereo.
