Grads sold the boat to a guy in Reno, NV who rigged it with a Blown 540. He brought it to Desert Storm in 2012 and ran the poker run (he is the Seller in the eBay ad from the original post). I talked to the guy about 6-8 months ago and he had sold the boat without the blown 540. I can't remember if he sold it less engine or sold it with mild power. He didn't know exactly where the boat went, but he thought it went to the San Diego Area. .

Someone posted a picture of it from recent recently.
Yea, I'm sure I could be a bit more vague if I tried. :)

I saw it on the water in Havi over Memorial Day. Don't know what motor was in it.

I talked to the new owner at the Ultra Regatta. He was having a blower motor installed that weekend. Right around 800HP or so. He told me he traded a sand car for it. Plans on flipping it and selling it right away.

Thinking about cutting an open bow into it

I think that is bad idea for two reasons....

The first being that a major part of the gelcoat that makes it the "West Coast Fucker" is on the bow. To cut that out would be a shame. If you do in fact cut it out I will buy the piece you cut out off of you.

Second reason is that boat is a pig to begin with. It's a very heavy layup. Putting an open bow in the front is only going to make it heavier. You will need 1000+ h.p. to even hit 90-100 m.p.h.

It was pieced out. The efi, blower and intercooler may still be available, but I doubt it. I was watching that thing for awhile. Wanted to pull the efi and put it in my daytona.

I heard that Bruce Jenner is building an Ultra called the west coast tranny.

If you think a middle finger is offensive, what til you see this gelcoat.

Tognotti bought my old Daytona. Did he ever sell it? I thought I saw it in Havasu not too long ago but couldn't see the driver.

I'm pretty sure he told me that he sold the 26 or 27 that he had. Said he wasn't using it at all and wanted to focus on family time more. He still has his ridiculously fast 21 Daytona.

Yeah that was a very cool boat. Wish I never sold it. I put it up for sale on a whim and Dean scooped it up. Next time you see Dean say hi for me.

Do what makes you happy. However the bow on that boat is one of a kind so cut carefully and sell it. Also don't expect to go fast, that hull was built extra heavy.
