Don't know what's worse, him making a video of eating dozens of cups of ramen and one sitting, or the millions of followers that have nothing better to do with their time than sit and watch him do it.

Welp. That confirms it. The movie “Idiocracy” was actually a prophecy, and it is all happening pretty much exactly how it went down. Ive been seen stupid fart stunts on the insta reels here and there as well. It won’t take much to wipe us out as a species now.

Society has always loved a freak show, the Internet just makes it easier.
Thats what I was thinking, this is the new Hot Dog Eating contest appeal. Which I never understood either.

Fat Boys sodium intake must be OFF THE CHARTS!!

It does make you wonder if society can ever be turned around or if we’re just going to continue sliding down the slippery slope.🙁
I think about this quote alot.

"Hard times create strong men, Strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times"

I'm 31. Its crazy when I look at people my age and around my age. Some are absolutely worthless with no drive and no desires in life, Some are actually just plain stupid and I wonder how they get through life. There are others though that are tough and determined to make it and they are killing it. I guess we'll see what happens in the next 10-20 years but I know I am raising both my kids to understand what it takes to make it and how determined and driven you need to be. I love when I get to take my son to work and he gets to see what I do day in and day out to provide for them

That fat slob’s heart will explode soon enough from the sodium, then he’ll have no followers.

It's all fun and games until Dr. Phil is there to remove a potion of the living room wall to get his fat ass out. If he lives that long.

He's not fat, he's just retaining water from all the sodium. He'll piss all that out by morning.

If everyone stops watching others on social media then it will die and you wont see stupid stuff like this pop up.

Personally I don’t understand how people follow others on social media. Guess you need it to understand it I guess.

My son is just getting into this. Has his own YouTube page to post short videos of him playing fortnite and other games. I do not understand it and truthfully hate it but seeing him get all excited about it and listening to him talk to his friends about it gives me pause to reconsider. Just because it's something I don't understand doesn't necessarily mean it's all bad. technology changes and who knows what it will lead to for future Generations. But a fat guy eating 10 lb of ramen for breakfast.. nope.. I'll never be on board with that

The latter self-reliant type A people are what give me a little hope.

It seems like society has always teetered back-and-forth and on the brink of social destruction, it sure seems like the lunatics have been running the insane asylum the last 30 or so years maybe longer.

That’s great and it shows what interests him and I’m sure he’s really good at the games he plays.

But what it comes down to in my opinion are views and followers that become the drug and wanting more. What happens when that slowes or stops? it can throw kids for a loop for not getting the attention they have gotten for a period of time, then what does the content provider do? Take bigger steps, sometime riskier to get the views back up?

Like this kids who will probably eat himself to death in a few years. I’m sure no one paid any attention to him for most of his life. Now he’s found something he can do as grotesque as it is and now he’s popular and he will keep it going to keep the high, and possible $$$$$

Damn, I’m must be getting old.

My only question is did he go out and earn the money to pay for all of them. Or did "we buy them" for him through a EBT card.

How is that any different than the social addictions we did as a kid. You're about the my age. We had sports, competition activities like dance, cheer, martial arts, dirtbikes, ect. We were all the best at what we did in our own heads. Granted we did not have access to millions of supporters however our friends approval meant the world to us. And we would keep upping the bar until we got the reactions we wanted no matter what we participated in. In my opinion this is much of the same social behavior just with the different kind of technology I guess.

I do think it becomes a unhealthy addiction though at some point, like this kid. Not sure what the answer is. Society to me seems like it's getting worse every year but i remember my parents saying the same thing when I was younger. Maybe it's not necessarily worse, just different and us old foggies don't get it🤷

I think it’s quite different?
Eating ramen in mass quantity vs dance, martial arts, cheer, dirtbikes, etc

One promotes getting and being a fat slob and an unhealthy activity with no benefit to himself or others. What kind of future does a guy like this have?

All those others you mention typically make one more physically fit, mental fitness, and an outgoing energetic being. They strive to achieve and piss excellence 😂
They become the people that get shit done. In the military, the Fire Dept, EMT, etc.

I wouldn't say that. When his heart locks up or explodes, that's one less D vote.

I wasn't referring to this guy. I 100% agree this is unhealthy. I was referring to the YouTube thing in general and how kids socialize differently these days. You have to read what done it again wrote that I responded to in order to comprehend the full context of my response.
