Shortage of eggs means a shortage of chickens is soon to follow, which means that there will be a dramatic price increase in the cost of chicken but not to worry because grub worms are cheap and tasty and don't contribute to global warming.

Cage free eggs are a much better health option.

Weird that a leftest state would push health food. They usually back corn, sugar and junk food.

@wash11 knows the cage free hen game very well, perhaps this is good thing ?

Meh, just more greenwashing. "Cage Free" simply means more room to move around in piles of their own feces and the need to de-beak more hens to control large group alpha behavior. In most cases it will just be standard to de-beak all of them.

Looks awesome, huh?
So, their life still sucks and they still need medicated feed to deal with living conditions and now you get to pay more. The upside is, some social justice warrior 10x removed from real agriculture gets to pat himself on the back while convinced he's saving the world, one ridiculous cause at a time. Well done, Oregon.

Pasture Raised kinda refers to how we raise our meat birds, we manage movements across pasture grass to give them optimal greens through the growth process. . The laying hens just get the run of the place. Everything is automated to have fresh water, feed, safety and access to sun, shade, grass, bugs and my patio for shitting on.

Here's a short post I did about our layers.

..and we have a egg shortage🤷🏻‍♂️

Go figure.. government another step closer to controlling the food supply🤦‍♂️🤬

Interesting how these states that are so concerned about chickens are also the biggest state train wrecks. I belive they purposely generate these ridiculous laws to keep the eye off their greater problems as they continue to implode.

I’m thinking with the open borders there has to be a shit load of new residential chicken coops.
