Just not drinking much but i'm tapped out, didn't start drinking until noon, and even came back to the room for a couple hours and relaxed,
this is an awesome party place and tons of friends but just couldn't drink anymore and was just done, did have a great steak dinner and few mai tai's earlier, Granted that more than ive ate and drank in months in one day but it's not even 10pm and just done, not sick, not lit just done, so weird

Your body is confused with time change,diet and drinking, wife and I love to party we are both 65, but when the body says I'm done or tired listen, rest and regroup ,drink water, sleep and party on the next day.

I’m 60. I’ve been a fairly proficient drinker for probably half my life. I’ve definitely noticed that an average buzz these days takes a bit longer to get over.
I’ve also noticed when I do tame it down a tad it makes a difference.
Getting old sucks.

That place is draining. Catches up to the best of us man. I actually did the EXACT same thing at the street party there last year. Tapped out and headed back to the room at 10. The SOTW party the night before tends to put a hurtin on one now too. And I know you went big last night.

You could give up partying today and still keep the signature. I’m sure you’ve partied enough to earn it for life.
Congrats on the healthy changes. Most of us know it’s not easy.

… i’ve been mulling this over in my head a bit…the title of your original post about you don’t know whether it’s the old age or the drugs…well yeah maybe you’re getting the normal drugs that people as they get older get from their physicians …but then again you’re with a wild partying moneyed crowd …only thing I can think of is…somebody pulls out a little vile and says here you wanna bump of my extra special white powder… …Don’t do it…so much of that shit out there today is cut with fentanyl… It killed a 30 year old girl down the street from me … It turned out to be her and two friends last hurrah… This certainly isn’t the 80s or the 90s…

Sorry i assumed that everyone by now knows my life story, nothing like that, after 'desert Storm my doctor put me on Mounjauro, its helped me lose 90 pounds, but also meant that i have cut my drinking down 90% and eating as well,
this is my first week in over 6 months of having more than a beer a day or eating more than a meal a day
ive been coming down here for almost 20 years and have been know to be up until the sun comes up a few times still partying

…. Got it… I remember now about when you went on the Mounjaro drug…At my old age, remembering all the details of everybody’s stories has become a little more difficult …So… Party on till you don’t feel like partying…then start over the next day… Pretty sure that’s why Mimosos and Bloody Marys were invented…
… Your had a good buzz texts were really entertaining… But I can’t imagine how much alcohol one would have to consume now to get back to that same headspace…Dunno…
