Another example of Peter’s videos of a people that want the US government to leave them alone.

The Seminole Indians are truly unique and their history is evident all over the Southeast. They now sum up their history with one word.....

Unconquered. 💪

They essentially told the US government to get fucked. Hahaha!!

His interviews are very good. In a large part because he is always willing to listen. Unlike Sean Hannity. I’m conservative, but I don’t like Hannity. He’ll invite a guest to speak on a topic, then talk over them. Giving us Hannity’s opinion or stating what is already well known. Peter Santenello is the exact opposite of Sean Hannity.

Too bad the other tribes cant get their shit together like those guys.

Watch the one where he travels with the Navajo county sheriff…an elected offical white guy. Good perseptive on all the questions we have as outsiders. Pretty amazing during covid the Chinese set up grows in the canyons on the rez.

A number of the tribes in Washington have casinos, and a few are doing quite well. They’ve developed other businesses as well, and have a lot of political influence. But, they don't compare to the Seminoles in terms of success. I mean, Hard Rock even.

I did some work on the original construction of the Seminole Hard Rock in Fort Lauderdale… ballers those Seminoles. Self-insured. Self-inspections. OSHA level safety. Every real Seminole on site driving a new Denali level truck. Chief Billy would fly across the turnpike in his helicopter to check on progress.

I scratch the CRIT surface using the Verizon Store in Parker.
The tribal member employees are always way helpful and get us dial in.

Used to be a high-pressure sales boiler room. Seems that's all changed over the past few years.

We have noticed CRIT seems a little more modernized and more kind. While shopping at vons a tribal member gal was full of humor and beyond kind.

We have had no Tribal member issues at Walmart either and I buy a bunch of Shot Gun stuff in that store which is mostly staffed CRIT. Always kind when you could find help. They never caved to the US either by placing Sporting Goods generically on the receipt. Those that know what I'm saying...know.

Its a far cry from the 70's when they used to come into the Echo Lodge Bar, restaurant, clubhouse and starts fights. Profoundly drunk and literally could not be arrested.
My dad and the crew in several of those. The area next to Echo to the west we couldn't ride our minibikes in because CRIT felt they owned that land and would chase you down in their trucks.

One of the reasons we left Echo Lodge for EC way back when. The fights and hostile atmosphere at that time. People forget. Imminent that one way or the other there would be drama of some sort.

In my Marine unit we had Native Americans from many different tribes. I used to be amazed listening to them talk to each other in their native tongues. Vastly different styles and sounds and tones of speech.
I think I read somewhere it may have been Sitting Bull that first got his tribe to create a Romanized written version of his.

The year the Avi kicked out all the concessionaires except Poncho Villas Taco Shop and took over it got way better. Night and day improved.
Even one tribal family came in with a terrific, reasonably priced Hot Dog concession.

A tribal lease is worthless.
Remember all that Red Rooster stuff that went down several moons back?

The individual leases were with CRIT but they refused to renew the "park's lease." Now it's just a baron wasteland because they burned it.
The people we knew were able to remove their coach prior to the melt down.

They did take over Water Wheel but I haven't heard much on the negative over that deal.

I’ve heard only a few particular Native American families make any money from the successful Chumash casino in Santa Ynez.

… The Maidu tribe owns the really nice Feather Falls casino in Oroville California …There was a daughter/granddaughter of one of the tribal elders who got tons of money every month… She would sit in one of the bars and play video poker st least 5 nights a week…
… That casino started out as three house trailers and morphed into a quite large casino with a three or four story parking structure really good food… etc..Used to have great rock ‘n’ roll concerts there then they turned it into a micro brewery with cover bands… Nobody famous any longer🤷🏽‍♀️
