Can one drop by without staying at the park? Any chance of getting a spot at the park for a night last minute?

The park is more permanent residents, I don’t know if they have any spots for short term rent.

I’ve seen a few guys closer to the water that might just be there for the event though.

Wouldn’t hurt to call the park, and ask Wade

I typically just park on the street and walk in.

It's at Weekend Paradise in Lake Elsinore. If parking gets overcrowded, people park across the street. It is Elsinore so don't leave anything important in your car/truck.

I think there are a few overnighters that camp down at the beach area. I think @Dana757 used to do that.
Ya call Wade, he’s very accommodating.

Well my mom decided that she wanted to come down today and do Christmas with us so can't make it down there. The weather looks to be absolutely perfect for some runs!!

Well that sux, bummed to hear that and makes it kinda anti-climatic for him. I'm sure he'll get it squared away and be back to having fun with it..
Good to hear it was a nice day for all out there.

Krept around for a couple hours on about the same amount of sleep. Great way to bring in the new year.

Thanks @Sharp Shooter. First time in several years I didn't make it given that I have a 7 hr drive now. I couldn't wait for your video!

So lazylavey and I headed down there. tried to get another guy to go, but he wasn’t having it. Too much to do at home.
Whatever.

We got there a little before nine and heard Wades little talk. Always a pleasure. Thanks Wade.
Weather was fantastic. Mike and I are walking around checking out the rides and stopped to look at this little 60 raysoncraft.
Neat little boat, turns out it was one of the Sammons and his band of merry men. Cool.
Looking at the boat, and some guy starts talking about the carburetor. He walks around the other side, we comment on the interior how it should be black or something.
As we’re talking, a little alarm, starts going off in my head. Ha! so I straightened up and turn to face this guy and I just deadpan stare at him. He stops and stares at me for a minute then you could see the realization in his face. NO SHIT! he says. I step back and kind of point at Mike. Holy Shit! he says again.
Turns out to be a friend I haven’t seen in at least 25 years. We used to tear up the river back in the day!
I had my Sanger, Mike had his Brendella, and Gary had a bitchen Canyon jet. Set back pump small droop, all the cool stuff back in the day.
It was great to reconnect.
That kind of stuff never happens if you just sit on the couch. It makes it worth it to me to get up and go even if you may think you’re tired, or have to much to do.

How cool is that!

These boat events as well as the races are always a reunion for me. You never know you might run into. 🙂
