Holy shit that's a lot of skis. I'd like to grab one of those fiberglass 360's

He's proud of them. I talked to him recently and all the good stuff is gone but if you can get them to a decent price he's at least got them.

Great find. I sold all my 360s to buy the schiada. Kept a 70" fastback. But now want to get another glass 360.

All glass 360s are a maha 70". Only the woods have different lengths.
Didn't know that.i stood it up on end and measured it and its just under 70" and then I measured my BEMIS @ 72" and it right on so this MAHA must be a 70 then I guess

It's hard for me to tell did you wrap a wood ski or a glass ski cuz I'm getting ready to do a wrap on the glass 360 I just picked up

Pauls ski is a wood ski. The one I posted is a glass ski that was wrapped.

Question for the Maha experts, if I wanted a cruiser, what would you guys recommend? I have a slalom ski, but sometimes its just fun to carve big turns and cruise. Should I be looking for a 360, or something else.

Thanks

Or the new Fastback if you don't mind spending the money.

Ok so question for you skiers. I haven't step into a ski in years but when I did ski it was on a Connelley Short Line. I could jump the wake and even make it around a few buoys on a course but my question is; how does one get such a huge spray from their turns. I've seen pictures of me skiing in the past and the spray I create seems only a few feet above my head but some of the pictures I've seen of the RDP peeps have HUGE spray.

Pretty broad question..

Depends on the ski, speed , water conditions and HOW you turn.

Slalom skiing is all about weight transfer, preturn, how much you lean across the wake etc, Shortline stuff is pretty easy once you get the hang of it ( if you are strong enough)
You can make a pretty good wall of water if when you go into the turn you pre-turn ( or set your ski).. get to the turn, put some weight on your FRONT foot ( by rocking Forward on the ski)
then you have more ski in the water. Rock forward, lean towards the wake or boat ( whichever is more comfortable) and turn like hell! If you have a single handle, reach towards the boat just before
you start your turn, rock, lean , turn, pull the single handle towards your waist, grab with the other hand and hold on!

More ski in the water and Viola, big spray! Turning and Leaning back is bad.. You basically go into the turn with maybe a third ( 1/3) of the ski in the water and when you turn ( leaning back) it comes up out of the water giving you LESS control and turning ability. Doing while wrapping up is another ballgame.. Faster is better but you wont have the huge spray in the turns.

Speed is your friend, cut hard, get enough speed for the next turn , preturn, rock , do it again.. Course guys know what Im saying. If you dont have enough speed, 3 bouys down the course you wont make the 4th....

I want to tow a water skier in Catalina this summer.
I've towed wakeboarders at 15/17 MPH but would like to tow a skier at a higher speed on a calm morning.
Yeah, that big boat of ours likes to tow.

As far as Im concerned waterskiing is THE most physically demanding sport.
