What is the best option for drinking water now? I've used RO systems for ever and not a fan, they seem to last 3-4 years max and I find out the hard way they suck because I have a leak under my sink. Changing the filters is always a pain, etc. I know in the future to run one of those water leak alarms under the sink.

Is there a better option you guys use? This is for drinking water at the sink, and a line to the ice maker.

I saw these on Amazon, are they good? Long lasting?

In all the houses I have owned I would put in the Kinetico whole house filtration system. I then took it a step further and also had a RO system in the kitchen to further filter. My water was always awesome set up this way.

Not cheap and always left them at the houses when I sold but a worthwhile investment IMO.

Those tankless ro systems seem to be the new thing but I have a feeling they don't produce as fast as they say.....I'm seeing mini storage tanks being offered for them.
My next ro unit will likely be a standard ro system with a permeate pump.
