I am looking for a nice walk through open bow 24' - 26' Cat or V-bottom that is turn key and ready to go on the lake. I may even be interested in a Cat that I can convert to open bow for the right price.
I am disabled and need accessibility of open bow.. Budget is $35 - 40K

Nice boat, I was hoping for something a little newer and I'm not a huge fan of the seating arrangement around the engine cover. But quite a bit under my budget so I would have plenty for upgrades.
I need to try and bump my budget up to $50k I think, seems like everything I want is about $10k more than I have!

I guess it just depends on exactly how much you want to spend. The rear bench seat is an easy re-do & the boat only has 185hrs & 29k might be an asking price, you never know, maybe there's a little room there. It's nice for what it is. A couple of posts up, done-it-again posted a link for Hi Line & they have some great looking boats in the 45-50k range, including an Ultra 27 cat, Carrera walk thru & a Shockwave 25. We have seen a few older Hallett 240s listed on here for under 30k, but they will sell in a day, so you have to stay alert & check the ads daily.

I'm looking at a Nordic Rush Deck boat on Monday. I don't know a lot about them, anything I should look out for?

I don't know much about the Nordic 26 Rush, however a deck boat would be very user friendly for you, no doubt. How much are the asking for that Nordic & what year/power/drive/engine hours? Obviously it only takes a first glance/impression of a boat & it's trailer/tires to know if it's been maintained, waxed/wiped down/garaged regularly. Of course if you like the boat & make a verbal offer & its accepted, you're always within your rights to ask for a lake test, pending a deal. I have seen many 25-27ft cuddy open bows listed, but I know the walk-thru is important for you, so I'll continue to keep an eye out & good luck with the Nordic, on Monday.:thumbsup

Thanks for the info, I'm going to check out the Nordic tomorrow and it seems to be priced well compared to everything else I have been looking at. The way boats are selling Im worried if I say too much about it the boat will be gone before I even see it! don't know a ton obout it, the owner lives out of town and stores his boat in Havasu. I will post some more info after I go see it tomorrow. Unfortunately the owner will not be present when I look at it so I am sure there will be some unanswered questions.

I got a 2002 255 Hallett closed bow Im kicking around the idea of selling, probably have the bow opened up to your liking and fix a few little things and be in low 30ish, detailed and ready to go in Parker, runs like a top.

Well I'm selling mine! It's a 2004 24 foot Renegade which is the old Caliber 1 hull. It has the 496 mag with less then 300 hrs. I will be getting the hour sheet when this rain stops!
Has the Bravo 1 drive with a 4 blade 24 stainless Bravo prop.
It also has Dana 500 trim tabs. It just had a full service plus I put a Hardin Marine stainless basket for the water pump a 700 upgrade. All New plugs, oil, water pump. I have the receipt.
Huge stereo and is very comfortable.
Here are a few pics. IMG_7684.jpg IMG_9468.jpg IMG_5947.jpg IMG_0633.jpg IMG_0014.jpg IMG_0002.jpg IMG_0164.jpg IMG_9841.jpg IMG_7665.jpg
This boat is very nice but not perfect! I am a very honest guy. It is definitely a turn key boat and looks great. The seats are 90% meaning the back seats where you walk into the boat are showing some wear.
If you want I can send you a ton more pics by text. Asking 33,500 OBO.
The boat GPS's with 2 people at 68.5MPH.
Contact info is Matt 909 215-4404. Please come and look or have another member come anytime.
I hate to sell her and never thought I would but we want to do more to our house and start camping more. It has always been garaged and fresh water only.
It sits on a Pacific redline trailer.

Thank you, I decided to look into new build but if for some reason it doesn't work out I will let you know. I was getting very frustrated with used boat shopping!

A 24 Hallett with same motor tabs and drive you are looking at close to 80,000. Boats are so crazy exspensive.

I guess I will give in and finance a boat! I wanted to get away with only spending up o $40k and not having to finance but it seems everything I want is $55-$65k. Boats are stupid expensive right now!

I was in the same boat as you months ago (no pun intended). Just take your time and the one will come around. Financing a boat is not always that easy as banks are only leading low nada and boats are going for more than that. The right one will come don't rush.

Site says 77k w a 8.2 mag. Couple upgrades and tax you're over 100k pretty easy

Yeah no kidding. Doesn't seem like much of a deal. Great boat, no doubt. I still am having trouble imagining a Cobra 230 for 85k. My buddy had a 27ft Essex Raven built for about 85k with an 8.2HO. I don't think any other builder can beat that. And his boat is put together very well. Solid.

Looking into a 22' Donin8r deck with an outboard to maximize space. If I can't swing it then I will go back to the used boat hunt.

Look at Tahiti offshore I'm loving my boat and pricing is great

I would give this boat a real good look. I followed the thread and I'm eagerly awaiting the article. I don't think it can be beat. Or even matched for an entry performance boat

Is Tahiti going to the LA Boat show. I saw their name on the list but I wasn't sure if it was the same company.
