Is it me , or do waits in lines , no matter what your waiting to purchase , seem waaay longer than ever ? Everything from 7-11 to grocery stores and gas station mini marts seem to just drag on . We expect this at the DMV and Starbucks , but everywhere ??

Yup, I know at the markets ever since they did away with bags (and bag boys) that now when you request a bag none of them know how to bag your shit. It takes forever

Best thing I found was the Sams Club app. Scan and pay on your phone, walk out the door.

Higher minimum wage = less employees. These places aren’t going to lose money so they are adapting. Self check out, 1 employee can manage 4 checkouts. McDonalds installs kiosks so you have to place your own order. Etc etc

The McDonalds I stop at on my way to Mammoth has one kiosk. Nobody ever uses it unless there is an employee standing there waiting to help people use it. :D

Those kiosks are ridiculous and tape FOREVER to use.

See how that works out when there are 5 kiosks and one employee in another couple years, and there is an app on your phone to place the order.

One of the problems in a lot of cases is the lame rewards cards at all the stores. People fumble with them, forget them, have to enter phone number or god forbid an email address has to be entered. They slow down the process.

Was in Home Depot yesterday and they have gone to almost all self checkout. It’s a clumsy process. God we are turning into a lame society.

I have always thought that getting out of a store should be just a easy and fast as getting in the store.
