Strong words and pretty accurate.

I remember reading part of an interview of an upcoming actor that started in a movie with Jackie Chan, the blond Wilson brother.
He was saying while he was trying to land parts he would often get work being a waiter at some restaurant in Hollywood.
He would walk up to folks just seated, introduce himself as their waiter, then tell them he really wasn’t a good waiter.

He went on to say he did this as a way of “ lowering expectations”


It struck me as odd, and sad that this is where our country was devolving to.
Yet? Today that ass has a net worth of over 70M

Some years later the wife was starting to watch a series called Shameless.
What a shit show, promoting not only mediocracy but less than, to the point of criminal, the whole family.
I couldn’t watch it.


Pretty glad I grew up when I did, when the goal was to be good at what you do and who you are. Strive to be the best.
When the bad guy lost and we cheered the Sheriff for catching him.


Today’s culture is the opposite.
Root for George Clooney and his band of thieves, or whatever.
