My Harleys have been sitting in my Garage going on three years now. My dizziness issues have kept me out of the saddle as well. I am still hoping that I can ride again someday, but I am not comfortable enough right now to try it. It really sucks. Good luck. Hope you can find some relief.
Hopefully sooner than later your issue will turn around. Giving up things you love to do at no fault of your own is the biggest WTF lesson nobody wants to learn. Myself included.

I hope you and the others in this thread can get some relief. Reading through this thread gives me anxiety. It sounds incredibly debilitating. I would be so frustrated having to deal with this.

I few years ago I woke up am, and had vertigo so bad, I couldn't move without throwing up. My wife had to call the ambulance and I stayed at the hospital for a day.

I thought it was a brain tumor or something like that.

After many tests, it was determined I caught a virus and it killed one ears vestibular. I rely on my right ear for balance...

It's brutal, but have somewhat adjusted. Sleep and minimal alcohol helps. Otherwise I'm screwed.

Mine was not super severe started about 20 years ago and it just hits me a little bit now and then but the first day it hit I got out of bed. I fell down in 3 feet and it was spinning like I drank too much tequila the night before. Everyone has a different reaction.

For myself, yes, better yet it seemed to have cured my seasickness in "lumpy" conditions offshore.

A really weird side effect of the tinnitus is that I can hear high frequencies that should not be possible. Some type of acoustic aliasing taking place? Not the actual sound itself I'm pretty sure, but I "hear" it nonetheless. I was testing a few switching power supplies on the bench a couple of weeks ago, these switch at 35kHz, and I could "hear" them as they started up and ran.

More people here dealing with this then I expected and that sucks. Whatever I find out or come across, I'll place it here.
Your diet, hydration, and other takes are awesome and very helpful.

I'm still doing all the things I normally do. I have not been on an extended boating excursion in the Big Blue in a while although we have been out inside the LB Breakwater allot. Entertaining mostly and one trip to Catalina so my boat partner and my son could dive Blue Caverns. This was just before this started.

I live on these mostly. I have to admit I have messed around with times taken, amount taken, not taking them, and maybe I'll invent something else with them like free basing or snorting. I ABSOLUTELY HATE THEM. They fog my head, make my tinnitus worse, and they fuck with my short term memory. My script is for 50mg a day.

I am fortunate to still have my son here so he can sit beside the days I pull my dump trailer (error on the side of caution) as I've had him moving vehicles and backing trailers since he was 14 now 21.

I will meet my new Meniere Disease specialist Tuesday. We'll see what she has to say.

I'm seeing the ent next week. I want to see if he get me some hearing aids. Two years back he said I wasn't a good candidate.

Boating does not bother me. The worst for me is walking around inside of a store, especially after driving.

Been on Low Sodium past couple years. They want to start me on a diuretic which will cause blood pressure to drop. I am already on Beta Blockers for an Irregular heart beat so that's out. My Blood Pressure is 105/68 on average. we don't need that any lower.
I have had Meniere's since I was 25 and I am 54 now. I have tried pretty much every kind of treatment possible including steroid shots into my ears with nothing really helping. I was on a low sodium (diuretic) and no caffeine diet for a long time and it had no effect on my condition. Mine was much worse when it first started and had bad drop attacks, and at the time I rode my harley a lot and I spent many hours laying on the side of the road or highway waiting for the episode to pass. I currently am finishing up a year long drug study for a new drug that I feel may have lessened my symptoms some but I am still dizzy, hearing is gone for good in my left ear and my Tinnitus is as nasty as it has ever been. Didn't do much for me but hope it did help others as they do need a new treatment for this.
Hope you can find something that helps you.

I have Meniere's Disease. Basically an inner-ear disorder. Not curable and it seems living with it is my only real choice. I take motion sickness pills daily and that will continue. There will be additional meds after we get a conclusion to what else was found.

Episodic Rotational Vertigo
Tinnitus
Hearing loss
Ear Fullness - I feel that right before an episode.

I have them all. I now have a specialist. Sweet

During my Brain MRI some other issue's were found so now I am awaiting a Neurologist appointment to look into this additional, lets just call it "Stuff", and hope its actually nothing.
I have Meniere’s sense the 80’s doctor took me off all dark liquid no drugs.

I'm barely a member of this club, but I appreciate the info being given out in case it ever happens again.
I was sitting in a restaurant minding my own business when i had a crazy episode of vertigo. Having never experienced this before, I went to the hospital prepare for the worst. Turns out I had an ear infection and a classic case of BPPV. Antibiotics didn't completely cure the vertigo so I did a single Epley maneuver at home and went away as fast as it came on. Hopefully I'm over it but I'm always a little paranoid about it.

Been dealing with this for about 20years now. Have done everything from blood work, ear, eye, MRI , cat scan, physical therapy. Multiple times over the years and nothing has helped. I am dizzy and nauseous all the time. I just have learned to deal with it. Some days are better then others I guess.
