Is anyone using this yet?

It's half the price of what we have now, but I'm having a hard time with the fact that cell towers can equal the capabilities that cable or FiOS does?

Thanks for the feedback. 👍🏼

I picked up one of their internet dealiios with the 4 antennas and took it right back. We get one bar on our phones inside and outside of the house and that thing was as weak as our phones.

for any cell based internet, it all boils down to how close you are to the tower. closer=faster.

the internet at my shop was so bad i could barely get 10mbs.

with my PC tethered to my phone and about 1/4 mile from the tower..........i can easily get 250mb. i just ran a fast.com speed test an ran 400mb.

I have one at home and one at the river house. Both work great.

You can look on the Verizon website to see where the service for these is available, but it seems to be bullshit. The river house did not show up in an available area, but I took the box from home to try at the river house and it worked fine, so I got another one.

I had one at my house in OC and it was terrible. Had it for a week before I returned it. Also had fiber optic before that, sucked as well. Went with Starlink and it is awesome.

Have one in OC and one at the river house. Both work great and well worth the money. With the one we have on OC, we have an extender which gives us signal all over the house.

We have one, mostly for rv travel but have used it at our homes too. Overall it works well, even with just 1 bar reception we could stream on a couple tv's and couple phones with no lag🔄

I looked at star link mini and Verizon whole house for the RV. Star link limits the data and Verizon is unlimited and at 45.00/month and no contract it beats star link. Gonna try it out this weekend in the RV. We will see. I used my Verizon mifi and service was great until I reached 30gb in 2 days. Lol

I was told by the Verizon rep, Fios is much more reliable if used for work (home) and heavy streaming.

Yeah but Starlink isn't going to deprioritize your service whereas VZ will any time it feels like it.

I have the T-Mobile version, and it's been flawless. We don't run many devices, but it's always fast. It's $50/month.

Generally speaking, 5G can be located in standalone locations, so it's not always colocated with standard cell towers.

Switched to Verizon Internet.
23 months in the OC
1 month in LHC

NO PROBLEMS….. we just use it for surfing the internet, no gaming or high use stuff.

Just switched to the fire stick both locations, dumping Cox and Optimum. It’s been a learning process. But the cost savings is hundreds. Just looked today YouTube is $79 a month…. I’m just fine with all the free stuff I get.

I would suggest T Mobile over Verizon, I have both at two different locations. Issue is on Hulu Verizon switches cells several times a week. When it does that Hulu believes you moved to a new location, at after 5 rimes cuts you off. A call till resolve this, but it is a pain. It is without a doubt the least expensive 5G that you can get. Our about to move into new to use home does not have NG or Fiber. Cox wanted 10G to move it from next door to us. BS, now T Mobile bx. Still waiting for NG after 4 months, at 15G to bring it in.

I tried it and kept it 2 days to long and they charged me $92 for something even they admitted wont work.

Great download speeds, upload 1.5 mbps on average is not going to cut it.

They have joined with cox also so now you have one big non-caring company.

We switched to this 4 months ago from a slow 6 mbps dsl line.

We have 2 bars of reception at home and always get the 25 mbps they promise although I have felt it was throttled a few times.
We have unlimited data and with the business account you can travel with the modem. I think we pay $59/month.

They give you a 30 day trial. Just be sure you go to a Corprate store and not a provider store….you cant tell by the looks you have to ask.
