The Fox bodies had a severe case of lift throttle oversteer, great fun if once you knew. I heard that's why the CHP switched to Camaros, too many spin outs. I my have spun out once or twice......
I know a chp that crashed 2 of those. I doubt any got out alive.

I'm surprised they are still affordable
Me too, not a lot of people liked them. I received lots of opinions on the looks when I had mine lol.

They are still easy to find under $15k, but most are over a 100k miles now.

Fun cars with the manual. They only had 300hp until 2010 and in 2011 they introduced the coyote.

Coyote cars still bring way more for good reason as they rip.

I just bought this one for my kid for 10.5 from a used car dealer in Stanton w/114,000 miles.

Now I’m living scared.

Chris Griner has one.. not sure if he’d sell it or not? Seems like he only drives it a couple times a year.

Ask and I shall receive!

Checked out a 2001 Cobra today I have been eyeballing for a month and super stoked that its a one owner, senior owned. Interior is like new. Bone stock everything. Every piece of paperwork and receiots. 70k miles.

Its not a fox body, but it will scratch the itch for now! Going to inspect it tommorow will keep everyone posted.

Look on the bright side. It’s a Fox body underneath :)

That’s the best NA Cobra anyway.

If you want something older that will run with your super car friends on the highway, this is the car. It’s a 2004 time capsule. Old school HREs Brembo Gran Turismo brakes, longtube headers, cam and a Procharger.

Just remember, you can always pull a few fuses so it won’t start, when they piss you off.
Just play dumb and work on it with them over the weekend.

I’d start with a tire rotations every 500 miles😂

I've witnessed lots of bar find discoveries in my lifetime but only once have I ever taken one home. This '67 Firebird pro street car was hidden in a barn in the woods behind my local 1/8 mile dragstrip. It sat hiding for 16 years before the track owner passed away and his widow decided to part with all of his cars. I just happened to be testing another car at test

when I heard she wanted to start selling cars and parts. I drug it out of the barn and that same day my friends and I got it running and took his widow for a ride down the track and did burnouts late that night. She was in tears. Since then I've repowered the car with a blown 540ci Chevy, a TH400 with a gear vendors and a trans brake, new 9" rearend, and rebuilt everything else under the body. The 90s paint job is in remarkably good shape. I have a hard time letting this one go because it is super fun to drive and I love the story behind the car but pretty soon it will go up for sale to finance other projects.

I lowered the car more, kept the old Centerlines on it, and here is what she looks like today. :)

I got a barn find, well garage find, 2005 mustang GT with Saleen blower on it, 3600 original miles on it, it really needs the paint to corrected but still very shiny, make a hell of a high school car for a kid. I bought it with 800 miles on it.

I don't know what this car is. But it's in a garage of a customer rental. I don't think the garage had been opened in a long time. Tenant hasn't left the house in 20 years. I told him he needs to go to a hotel while we repipe it and he doesn't want to.

This is a 88 I picked up a couple years back. I'm just slowly tinkering with it. All of the suspension been updated but other than that it's basically stock. Everything works, AC, cruise control, just replaced the window regulators. They are going up in price.

I've kinda been keeping an eye out myself since I have one when I was a kid and had some great times racing. I bought mine off the old editor or Super Ford Magazine, Earl Davis when he was retiring. It was in like 9 issues. I destroyed the damn thing and twisted the unibody.

All the ones I see are junk or have been pretty well abused. I'm thinking it's best to just buy an almost new Camaro ZL1 or Mustang with the 5.0 and build from there since it's so easy to get 1000hp these days.

I will say, I have got some really great deals from wanted ads. Usually, people look at the ads before they post and you may be able to get in on something before anyone else. If you make it easy for people, sometimes they are willing to let them go cheaper.

I really wish I hadn't sold my last one, it wasn't a notch but I redid everything on it even replaced all the glass, bumpers, paint, interior, everything except the drivetrain. Would have been perfect for a coyote motor.

I remember watching that episode. Here it is for anyone that missed it:

Here's my barn find story: Way back in 1980 a guy I worked with told me about a '69 Camaro that belonged to a woman he knew. He knew I was a car guy and thought I'd be interested in the car. He gave me her info and I called right away. Turns out it belonged to her son who had passed away. She didn't say what happened to him but the car had been sitting in a barn for several years and she wanted to sell it.

It wasn't anything rare (not a Z28 or SS or anything), just a 350, 4 speed Camaro with aluminum slots, Hurst T handle shifter and some nice mods to the engine (Holley carb, intake, headers, etc.) but a '69 has always been my favorite year Camaro. She wanted $2K for it.

I had $500 saved up and a good job driving big rigs at the time so was trying to figure out how to get the rest of the cash. A good friend's (he had a '70 340 Challenger) father in law was president of a local bank so he told me to go see him about a loan. I went to see him with all my info but the fucker denied the loan saying the car wasn't worth the $1500 I wanted to borrow. I'm still pissed about it! 😁

They worth anything or scrap metal?

Depends on engine. Six banger not worth much but a 302 would be worth something, especially if it is low miles and in good condition. I suspect there may be a market for a clean six banger car too but not going to be Camaro or Mustang or even Nova money. You could build a nice resto mod out of it though.
