Headed to Vegas tomorrow for a couple of days. Brittany is in classes and I’ll be bored. Looks like it’s going to be too hot to golf and I’m not much of a gambler. Any suggestions on what to do to kill time during the day?

Maybe hit some of those big casino pools?

No car. Staying at Planet Hollywood because that’s where her convention is. I’ll be walking or ubering. Mob and pinball museums are sounding good so far. Thank you for the replies.

Grab a flight to Hawaii and hang with @DWC and me!!! I got a few extra bedrooms and if needed there is a 7 bedroom house I can kick my step-mother out of if needed. 😂 😂

If you decide on staying with your wife in vegas…
Top golf hang and people watch.
Hash House a go go
Bellagio is always good to see the display
Gordon Ramsay Burgers
Go see the Mirage before the tear things apart if you are not to late already
Take photos of the progress of the Tropicana being torn down,
Raiders stadium tour.
In-n-out story with things other than food

The mob museum has a speakeasy down the side stairs after hours. The password is I plead the fifth. I would choose that versus the museum all day and twice on Sundays. It was actually very cool

Frankie's Tiki Room and The Golden Tiki. Get absolutely hammered on Mai Tais while you're old lady is at her conference 🤣 🤣 🤣

Love the Golden Tiki... Careful tho, those drinks are strong! Especially the Navy Grog.. oh boy

The Vegas strip is lake Mead’s version of the channel. It’s a human cesspool without the water. Once upon a time it was human decadence at it’s pentacle but now it’s just pathetic.

If you get a chance, see a Knights game. They’ll lose but they do it with style! Hit tacos el gordo, there’s one on the strip and go to the library.

I think you can visit any of the Caesar's hotel pools since you are staying at Planet Hollywood. Caesars palace has a nice pool area, but it can be crowded and there is very little shade. I liked the Paris hotel pool because it was quieter, there is some shaded areas, and I am not into the see and be seen type of party. Flamingo is a bit on the small side but is cool to check out along with the LINQ walk. You can get over to that area by cutting through the hotels, but you will have to walk outside a bit to get to any of them at some point so morning hours for that would be best. Have fun!

Just ordered breakfast at Cafe Hollywood. Can’t check in until 11:30. I guess we’ll walk around for a while. Pinball , neon, and Shelby are definitely on the list of things to do. Thank you for all of the suggestions.
So I guess Hawaii is out? 😂 😂 😂 Have fun and post up your adventures!!!!

Oh one more. Top of Mandalay Bay is a restaurant with great views of the strip. Get there around sunset so you can see in day and night if possible. There is a great lanai are that we had to ourselves in February.

The Atomic Museum is really cool. There is the Counting Cars and the Welder Up shops to visit. My wife and I met Steve Darnell at Welder Up and we talked for a bit. Truly a guy that likes what he does and hates the drama that TV shows like to incorporate.

I hate to admit it but I've been there. Holy shit. The talent is next level.

I only wemt there once, it was the place right on Rancho right? Went to High School right across the way.

On our side of town it was "The Centerfold" it was built in a quanset hut. Me and HowardFlat would always close the night out there. They had the coldest and cheapest beer, and it was like going to th circus 😆😆😆

Tampon Strings and C section scars 😆😆😆

I walked from Planet Hollywood to the pinball HOF. Wasn’t too bad but I wouldn’t recommend it in 104 degree weather. Lots of construction and stairs crossing the streets. Pinball HOF was awesome though. I had a couple of pinball machines growing up and can’t count how many toes I broke accidentally kicking the damned things when I was running to answer the phone.

You can play all machines. $.25 for old machines and $.50 for newer machines. Cheapest and most fun place in Vegas for a middle aged guy.
