Ok guys,
Is this a good gift? And, is it worth $100? I see him use the one at McFadden-Dale all the time. Is this something that would be helpful in the garage or not needed?

I’m also going to order LaVazza coffee that was recommended in another thread. He’s loves coffee

If he's like most of us he can probabaly eyeball the size he needs and find a nut or bolt in his junkpile to fit. I for one would not have a use for this.
All I have observed is he’s uses the one at McFadden dale all the time so not sure if he’s bad at judging or he’s just double checking.

This, with so many "american" vehicles now having metric nuts/bolts it gets harder to quickly/accurately identify hardware at a glance. Pisses me off too. Haha
American made w/metric junk hardware. Assholes.......
I worked at a independent Harley shop just out of high school. when i brought my tools in, the shop manager told me take all the metric home with the exception of the 10mm. every bike that came through the door had 2 metric 10mm bolts, the damn battery connection.

I thought I was the only one with that super power.

Ok now give us some ideas for wives 😂😂
A really nice bouquet of flowers always works. A few years ago, Robert set up an in-home massage. That was awesome. He’s still paying for it since I signed us up for
the 90 min monthly massage package for $180 each. It’s really the best gift he’s ever got.

A home cooked meal seriously goes a long way.

For the guys that shop at happy jewelers and have an AMEX, they have this deal going on until 5/15

The wife and I agreed nothing for valentines day, and to get the boat ready for summer.

I'm a dumbass, but not that dumb. You bet your ass there will be a card and some flowers on display when she gets home from work.

My wife and I agreed a long time ago that we would do no gifts. And we both still do not get gifts.

Funny thing this year. Have a friend here in the park that loves Nascar. She travels to a lot of them. I have always wanted to go to Daytona. Wife says go ahead. I said you are ok with me going with another women? She said sure I trust you and she isn't your type. Well she is correct on both.

Then last week she starts laughing and I asked why. She said you will be spending VD with her. I laughed and said I would skip the truck race and drive up early Saturday morning. She said no, it isn't a big deal. So last night we were at the bar and my wife tells her about it. The look on her face was pretty funny. She started to say we could go Saturday and my wife said no. Then Denice says later that there is a good brewery that has good food. I said fine with me and my wife pops up and says don't to bring her roses. We all laughed. That is why I married her almost 27 years ago.

$100 seems steep for that. As much as I hate to say it see how much a Chinese set is on Amazon.

I have a buddy that says as well, that his wife is OK with no gifts. Never

He also doesn't ever want to come home and hits the bar every night so he can lube up to deal with her shit according to him.

I told him, dude, every girl likes flowers. Surprise her and get her some, may be shocked on how she treats ya after.

I enjoy surprising my girl also, makes me happy as well and she loves to show it to her girls.

I don’t know a girl that would receive a thoughtful gift and then be upset. Sometimes I think guys go out of their way to not do something and it requires so much more effort then to just get a thoughtful gift.

Wife hooked it up. I used to love Teavana, Starbucks bought them and just shut them down. Really never made sense to me. It’s been a few years since they’ve been gone.

She got me a new set up from another company. It’s so good! You gotta get the special deal to brew loose leaf tea and strain it, and the rock sugar.

I got my wife a dozen long stem roses. She seems to enjoy them? I never know what to buy her that she doesn’t buy herself.

When we first started dating, I told Rob I wasn’t huge into flowers. I like to grab flowers to decorate the house for a party or if I see something nice at Trader Joe’s. He took it as to never buy flowers.

Two years ago, he had an emergency call to a flower shop on Valentine’s Day that their case wasn’t cooling. This wasn’t a contracted company, but they were desperate for help. Robert tells me at lunch he’s working at a flower shop. I start thinking well..I’m definitely getting flowers today. He gets home from work and he’s empty handed. He proceeds to tell me how the shop owner asked if she could send him home with flowers for mom or his wife. He said no, she’s not a huge flower person and goes on about telling me about his day. At that point, I stopped him and said, “it took more effort for you not to get me flowers than it was to get them. You worked at a flower shop all day and were even offered flowers!” He realized he f’d up.

Same with Commercial Corporate Christmas?
The wife and I don't by Christmas gifts for each other either, just the kids and kids within the family. Its more about being together than gifts.

But I do find Christmas not on the same level as Valentine's day were if you don't buy a gift or do dinner on that date you don't love that person(s)

Mine wouldn’t be happy I spent $40 on roses, when I buy them for her throughout the year for a fraction of the price lol. She’s getting new earbuds since her old earbuds ones are not compatible with our new phones.

I kinda think my wife is satisfied with the 4'ish minute gift she received before leaving for work, but I have a couple of ribeyes and tails thawing for dinner and will pick up her favorite bottle of wine on the way home.

Eating Dinner on Valentines Day is insanity. We gave that up years ago as well. Set Menus, Hours long waits. Rushed Service. Why do folks do that?

Yesterday i had an adventure in the rain on the way home from work. Ran to See's candy for a pound for her and some boxes for the kids. Then ulta for some jimmy choo perfume , grocery store roses and some chocolate covered strawberries. Set it up this morning at 4am so they would wake up to it lmao. I think i did alright, it's always the same kind of thing every year. Talked myself out of ballin at happy jewelers or chanel.. need to get further along in life before i spend on that crap.

The good thing about robins bros is I have to spend double on whatever diamond I upgrade to. So that takes care of that 😂😂
