the finance guy / that little room you sit in with that dirt bag is the worst. when i bought my last truck, i knew the salesguy and told him i will buy from you, but i will not sit in the finance room. he just laughed and said thats fine, i hate him too.
[/QUOTE.

Some of them are fine. I bought a new car at a dealership in auburn. He tried to slip in a point higher interest rate, window etching (what a joke) LoJack, and got pissed when I wouldn’t consider an extended warranty. When I told him to change the interest rate and take off the window etching he said that he would have to redraw all the docs. I told him to get busy and do it because it was getting late and I’m about to walk. Oh and he tried to sell me gap insurance on a car I put a 50% down payment on.

Well, I called on the one in Phoenix.

30K sticker went to 38K OTD. The addition 8K comes from tax @ 2500, plates @ 500, doc's @ 600 and now the good ones. Tint, which is non negotiable @ 500 and warranty @ 4K. Warranty is "bumper to bumper", 3 years 36K miles.

Interest rate was at 11.09 for 72 months.

Without getting into serious negotiations I was told that if I took the warranty, some purchase price could be removed, about $500, getting down to about 29.5K. I was also told that the truck is listed about 4% below market value.

I said I mull it over and get back to them and by mull it over, I meant ask the smart people or RDP what they thought! 😃😃😃
Nothing seems super out of line, I just have to commit to the payment and that's hard seeing as how I don't have any payments currently. Happy Saturday all!

This one doesn't show an accident

I was looking at the first one you posted. Both ads remind me of a few used car dealers I had contacted in the past, no deals, lots of fees, bad interest rates.

I would buy from a private party with my own credit union financing as my first choice.

Second choice buy a used car from a new car dealer, usually less B.S. that way.

Get preapproved, then go shopping. There are LOTS of Yukon XL's / Suburbans available.

When we had 4 kids at home we had a Honda Pilot. My choice now would be a Toyota Sienna van. Neither will tow.

Good luck!

I do need to be able to tow, not far or heavy, but vans are out.

Chase beat that interest rate by a bunch! 7.09, unfortunately they don't appear to work with that car lot. I'm still looking

Still looking and considering this..............

Whats everyones thoughts on the sunroof? Im not into them and have always found them to be noisy, have they improved that over the years? Anyone with first hand experience in this body style?

A salesman from the dealer in Phoenix has been working hard but hasnt found the one. Apparently he told someone higher up to buy a Yukon for me and that I would buy it and now he's in hot water because its not what I want. Sounds like its not my problem! It is a nice truck though

I’d skip the sunroof it in a hot climate. It just lets in more heat and noise.

I’d be worried about the 5.3 burning oil because of AFM , I’ll bet that’s why it was traded .

This is the body style we had, and it was great for the family. Only issue we ever had was an AC condenser but it was a relatively easy fix.

That seems really high for the year though..?

If you want another Flex let me know. 😂

The Flex was good, but that ship has sailed lol
If you're bored search for one, max tow, middle bench, white/black leather and under 100K miles. This one looks the best right now, next month, who knows?

Don't buy cars from 2020 to 2023! I am hearing this from many people and even dealers right now.

I need something bigger than my 2 door civic for me and my 4 kids. I'm in an odd position. I've always owned old junk that I kept running and working good enough for me. The civic was bought as a commuter for me and its great for that, its also the nicest and newest vehicle that I own now. It was never intended to have 4 kids in it, 2 of them being in car seats still. I have my old square suburban and Ive been making that work for the weekends but I only trust it soo far lol. I have said for a while now that I want to get into a late model suburban, '15-20 would be my choice. Mathematically I can take on a payment for the first time in my life and Ive been looking haphazardly.

This caught my eyes a few weeks ago and really got my gears turning

I am going to have to finance this purchase, no way around that. I bank with Chase, should I consider them for my financing? Local credit union? Whatever financing that the used car lot has? My searching hasnt turned up much at the local dealerships and really when looking it looks pretty slim. Part of this is because I really only want white and 2nd row bench, not buckets. I'm not set on another sub, but they have always worked really well for me, I've owned 3 lol.

Lets hear it! or post up other options. I'm in no rush.
If you are interested in an older one (I think it is a 1997 Tahoe 4 door) I have a buddy trying to sell. It has been immaculately maintained for years. 120,xxx miles. Leather, dual a/c, 4x4. DM me and I can put you in touch with him. I wouldn't hesitate to take this rig anywhere, it has lead a pampered life for decades. I think he is looking to get $4-5K but cash. makes people do crazy things.

After this weekend I think the truck will be in Cherry Valley as he is currently moving from Eastvale.

Most likely it is becoming an aged inventory unit is why they are pricing a bit low.

That's what you want to look for. Vehicles that aren't moving off the lot are the ones that you can make a fact-based offer for.

End of month and end of quarter can also make dealership more flexible on price, depending on how the month's sales have been.

I found what I was looking for about a month ago. I took some muscle with me to "just go look" and ended up driving it home lol

Got it home and had to fix a few things that just bugged me. One of the DVD player screens didn't work but that ended up being a really simple fix. All the headphones (4) needed new pads, both key remotes needed new cases and just a few other accessories that I wanted like a dash cover and a center console organizer. Other than that, it needed tint and wheels.

The wheels looked good from far but at some point someone used the wrong cleaner to tackle brake dust I'm assuming and the clear coat over the polished wheels was peeling off. The dealer offered to paint them black but that was going to end up being a pain in the ass being out of state.

I've been racking my brain to come up with a personal plate but haven't come up with anything that I think I can live with yet lol. Plan is to leave this thing alone and just enjoy it with my kids. I have a strong urge to pull the running boards and lower it though, I'm not gonna lie 😂😂😂
