Everyone had HUGE smiles on the way back into the beach... Good sign:thumbsup

Then it was time for the 12& under crew:thumbsup:thumbsup Pretty sure all of them can Ski RD under the table any day of the week:rotflmao:

It was a really close race, w/ the 660 crew JUST edging out the 412 crew in the last 1/4 mile

At the break, some nut job in a Zodiac came cruising down river

Also a Killer looking Flattie headed up river.

Then the 13-16 crew got started:champagne: These Kids are FAST and fearless.

Womens Novice headed out, They put on a great race:thumbsup:champagne:

And then the F2 Womens race, IMHO the best race of the day. There were 3-4 passes for the lead on the final lap:thumbsup:champagne: All of those boats exiting the corner are in contention for the lead.

Most of the Womens F2 gals, came in, swapped boats, and headed right back out for Womens 17-29 and 30-39:bowdown: They got a LOT more HP, and the racing was just as exciting

The last picture is 1st and 2nd as they cross the finish line... I still dont know who wonarty2::beer

The last race that I was able to stick around for was Mens Novice...

I'm not 100% sure on the lines on it... might need to "grow" on me, but the rigging is insane!!! I want to say it was Prime's dealio, but dont quote me on that. I'll be sure to post the pics i took of it on the trailer here.

Awesome pics! I have never seen up close just how much safety gear the skiers wear nowadays. Quite a difference from the old days.

On the 19/21 Nordic, #7, was that a 1075 sitting inside that thing??

Holy crap, the observer practically has to sit on the bow.

Here's a pic of the "Buisness end" of the #7 boat. Notice the complete skeg before the Marathon...:bash: And the uhhh... modified Skeg after...:grumble: It hurt my pocket just looking at it, that damned lower unit costs more than my boat is worth:bash:

Long story but all the awesome, over 500 photos I took of the speed ski races in Parker my SD card failed and all my data was lost. It sucks but it happened. So I have a few that Wheeler took with one of my Compact Flash cards.

A big CONGRATS Denny Valdes for driving Schiada #197 at the US Open Championships Water Ski Races last weekend. To add to Gs-321 posting. Some of the skiers that Denny pulled to top places at the races. Brain Samaniago first year of speed skiing takes 1st place high piont Champion Marathon Water Skier in 2009. Brain also places in 2 more clases at the US Open races. Larry Gebhart takes 4th in men novice class and is coming on fast. Mark Clifton 3rd place in his age class and is sking great. By the way Gary Sinnott you did win some classes. Sorry I did not pickup the places but you are not a disgrace you are also a WINNER. Last me in the 51 & over class, I was a disgrace finished 8th out of 11 in the first race. But thanks to Denny again talking me into running my 2nd race we finished up 4 over all in the class. Am getting older and slower in my old age.

From the bottom of ALL are harts thanks Denny for a great weekend of ski racing. You are the MAN........Skinut 60:drnkfr

2nd heat 4th place we had rope issues
not sure of her final placement but the rumor is she got a trophy

She skied great in the mini not sure what place we got

only the second time she's raced..... she's gonna be collecting a lot of trophies
