First time back stateside in 5 years. The most technological cars on earth on a brand new track. Any predictions?

Hard to say...there are so many unknowns about the track.
I'm just hoping the track surface holds-up :thumbsup

I predict allot of spins.

Green track hasn't had any races on it. Perelli had to choose their tire compounds 2 months ago & played it safe with harder tires. The drivers are having a hard time getting temps up & rubber down. Should make for a very exciting race.

Thanks for the reminder. Qualifying in an hour from now 10 PST. Just checked the standings and it is very close for the drivers championship, Vettel and Alonso. Looking like Vettel has the pace, should be a good race. Anyone heard feedback on the track?

I like the track! The elevation change is awesome, and it looks like it had plenty of places to pass.

Looks like qualifying will come down to who gets to run the latest, that track needs to have a lot more rubber put down to increase grip.

I?m here in Austin for the race. We scored some Redbull vip passes and having an awesome time. I?d post some pics but the internet here sucks. The cars picked up over a second today on the track and it?s a fast track. I?ll update when I get home.

Vettel has the P1.:thumbsup Schumacher has P6:thumbsup

Thank goodness the city of Austin has taken a chance on having the baddest ass track in America in it's backyard !!!
Just think MOTO GP will be there next year instaed of at the jioke track at Indy.
The stands were packed today for practice and qualifying, they'll be maxed tomorrow !!!!

Let's see some pics!!!

Was avoiding this thread until I watched qualifying...can't wait to watch the race.
It's a wide track, but looks like not so many places to pass after all. We'll see :thumbsup

I think there's a few spots. Not sure what turn # - big 180 & the center narrows to a point making the track really wide - there should be allot of action there.

Suprising to see Hamilton so close after Vettel was blowing them all away in practice.. Hamilton has great starts, wouldn't be suprised if he gets out front & prevents a Vettel run-away. Should be a great race :thumbsup
