According to large orange font it’s all because they want to make bigger burgers with bigger profits..
Exactly. Now you are learning business 101 Dave!

Buy 2 Whopper Jrs. They are 2 for $6. 😉

Add $3 for a fry, $3 for a coke, $2 for gruesome newsome and you are right back to paying too much for shitty food...but when you're out on the road all day sometimes you just gotta I suppose. On the positive side helps with the constipation💩

If you think you have to pay $18 to eat a fast food lunch for yourself, the expensive fast food isn’t the problem. 😉

A Double Double Combo is about $10 out the door.

Yep just didn't have the 20 minutes to wait in line. Trust me BK is not high up on the list and if it wasn't convenient I wouldn't have stopped

Lobster or Alaskan crab? For me they're both great. The 15 cent McDonald's burgers I grew up on, or the $22+ burgers served poolside at Trump's place in Vegas. Same deal - both very good in their own way. The one thing I miss, and doubt if we'll ever see any abundance of it again, is Abalone. Believe there's an operation north of Morro Bay that raises Abalone. Has anyone tried them? The old local Morro Bay Abalone divers blamed their depletion on sea otters. But, you used to see mountainous stack of Abalone shells around Morro Bay. Doubt if those sea otters were involved in that. Reportedly, the island of Tasmania has a significant Abalone population?

It's been said, there was a lot more New England lobsters consumed than Turkeys at that first Thanksgiving Dinner. Those lobsters were a hell of a lot easier to gather than those wild turkeys. Plus, IMO, turkey from the wild isn't very good anyway. Often gamey tasting and extremely tough to eat.

You won't get an aneurysm from pushing too hard. Got to look at the positive side of things as we age.

The 6 lobsters on the right were $75 total from Costco that I did for Father’s Day.

So I’m confused as a card carrying RDP member if I don’t reflexively pay the highest price for things - am I being poor somewhere else? Am I a savvy connoisseur getting an amazing deal for under the market? Am I getting what I paid for, or am I the proverbial smart money?

Are we supposed to pay $1200 for a USA made patio heater when we can buy a Chinese version for $100? What’s an RDP member to do?

…When I lived aboard…all we had to do was walk around the dock a short ways and buy directly from the lobster fishermen who had just pulled up their pots…cheap and delicious… if we weren’t going to eat it right away, we would tie a string around it, and hook it to a nail of the dock and drop it in the water…

I put these tails on the smoker and they turned out great. Tried some out of shell and some in shell while cooking.

Definitely miss the days of buying lobster and crab off the boat from friends, hard time paying today's prices.

Shushi being another of my favorites that is pricing me out of the game, not that we can't afford it I just have a hard time spending that much on something that was half just a few short years ago.

The Wife and I spend a weeks grocery budget for a lot of family's on one night of these items.

I was at the deli counter today, saw the price of roast beef and thought of this thread. Filet Mignon was the only cut of beef at the butcher more expensive by $3 per lb.

Cabbage Island in Boothbay Maine. The tin foil on the right was full of steamers. Also came with chowder and blueberry cake! Plus a nice boat ride to get there.
