Very little freeboard, revving the motor, pissing everyone off, showing off way too close to shore, hammering the throttles as hard as they can, shooting a rooster tail....it's a jet boat. Only thing it didn't have was a misfire in the motor, a fat chick in the passenger seat and the inevitable break down.

I hate these threads because I generally like Grads and understand he is just trolling for his entertainment with most threads. Sure, that makes him a sadist, but if you don't play along, then it doesn't have to piss you off.

This thread on the other hand is different, as it really is an indication of an elitist thing rather than a "jet boats are gay because they go slower with the same hp" kinda thing. I own a jet boat because that is what I could afford at the time, I think that is quite a common concept for jet owners, many move up as high as twin power cats eventually. Sure, they can be prone to mechanical failure, they are often older, unrestored, hence the cheap price, but they are out boating and having fun.

I guess he doesn't like the inconvenience of less wealthy people on his lake. Can't we all just get along and start ripping on jet skiers instead?

I grew up with jet boats and that’s all I’ve ever owned, or care to own. It goes with the territory of where we boat. Lower river, Blythe, Kings river etc. Usually it’s shallower and not conducive to outdrives, but flattys are always welcomed! Not everybody that goes to the river needs a 30’, blown or turbo charged, twin drive monstrosity cruising at 120mph down the river. I guess it’s the old school in me that still envy’s a hotrod flat or jet instead of the big ass boats LAM boats of today.

Another positive is I don’t have to share the river with people like Grads. Then again, I can’t share the river with anybody right now since I’m currently boatless

Two thoughts on this.... yes it's ugly and that's why it's being painted as we speak. Unlike jet boaters I can admit my boat is ugly. I'm taking the boat to Tahoe in July and I plan on taking a similar pic with my drone and when I do I will have a new avatar pic.
