If so, they made a lot of progress from what everyone was saying a couple months ago! Any pics?

We were there this past Tuesday and they were putting on the palapa roof pieces. Palm trees are up but no bar fixtures or other FF&E that I could see.

Looked at it when going by in the bay. Thought close but far away. Will be interesting to see if it happens. Might have to go take a look sometime this week.

We stopped in the cove and went into the store two days ago (Sunday).

Zero chance.... unless standing on dirt drinking a beer bought inside and taken outside is "Open."

Construction fence still up, no real fence along the perimeter above the new retaining wall, no tables, no outside bar, ect...... even a 20 person crew 24/7 wouldn't get it fully operational in 4 days.

I’d assume still would need to pass inspection as well.

🤔

Even if they are working that hard to get it up and going... the staff will be trying to figure out how it all works at the last golden hour (but shitty service in a good location will still bring me back).

I am looking forward to seeing it reopen in the standard "two weeks". ;)

Building department is closed for the weekend. Party on Garth! Just have it cleaned up by Tuesday morning lol. I kid mostly….

I sincerely hope they do well financially as well as provide good service. But in typical Nautical management fashion they’ll screw it up. That bar has to (or has the potential too) net 7 figures a year. But the staff should have at least a full week of prep/practice with everything before trying to open to the public. Especially before the “closing weekend” of the summer.

Let’s not forget they demoed it right before the start of boating season 🤦🏼‍♂️.

Edit. Health department inspections have been completed?

Alright……I just went down there. They are VERY close to being finished. They are saying tonight OR tomorrow. I can see it happening.

You saved me a trip down there tomorrow, but if they are open I might make the trip down anyway (or Thursday). I wonder if they will be checking ID's 🤣

Funny how one’s personas accounts make it seem like a mile away the. You get a picture and it looks open! I like they moved the bar to the corner to get a view at every seat.

The bar looks a lot bigger as well. Then you have the misters running as well. I like how open it is but I question the seating. We used to go there and I recall a lot more large group table than they have now. 🤷‍♂️ Maybe that will change As they start using the place.

Wow - shocked at the amount of work done in 2 weeks. Shows it could of been open sooner if they hustled like they did the last 2 weeks IMO

I’m calling BS on these pictures. This is either Photoshop or AI!

So in the pics the bar looks pretty much the same, but I liked the old wooden tables in the sand better than the new ones.

Why you guys doubt ye old Skipper?
Don't take it personal, but this project was due to be completed long ago.

Add the "havasu time" and the what seems to be a "disconnected corporate office" and you get no confidence.

The permits on that seawall must have been wild to get approved.

I wish that I had more pictures but the sand looks to have been moved a bit as far as beach space. It looks weird like they try to create a bit of protection on the cove. It is like the red line in the satellite image. Also with the addition of the sea wall it looks like they lost some of that beaching area. We have photos of our boat in the sea wall area which obviously is not possible any more. The area that we parked is represented the blue blob.

Just gonna say after checking it out yesterday... it has potential. The location has always been the draw and we will return. However I feel that there are a lot of things that still need to be finished, changed and improved upon. Give em 2 more weeks ;)

Went by this morning for another reason. While there I snapped a few images. Not the cove reshape….

One improvement I see is the stairway straight to the cove beach rather than needing to walk around by the store.

I have no idea how many of the hard cups my wife collected over the years. Almost like each drink (there were plenty) was a prize.

Does it look like food will be served outside again? We liked sitting outside and eating at night.

They had some merchandise in the store with the name too, hope the name is back for good. 🤔

Next, they need to bring back the hard plastic cups! The clear plastic dixie cups suck.
Besides bar decor they also work
