Tulsa people??

I’m in tulsa at a bmx race (USA bmx headquarters) As usual wife wants to go explore and eat good food. We will be ubering since we are in the rv. We are downtown Tulsa area. What’s good to eat. And what should I be aware of? I have 2 kids with me also (10&7). Always curious about how safe it is at night.

El Rancho Grande is good Mexican food at 11th and Utica. It's a safer area for lunch as it gets sketchy after dark. Drillers baseball has the last homestand of the season in downtown Tulsa this week. Really nice stadium and the kids will enjoy it. Lots of restaurants in walking distance of stadium. The Spudder is a really good steakhouse that's close to the fairgrounds. Not fancy or dressy but good food and lots of old oilfield memorabilia.

We are walking distance to the stadium. Drove by as we pulled in. I just worry about after dark time in places I’ve never been to before. Thank you.

I was there several years ago and there was a totally awesome BBQ place right near the minor league baseball field. No idea if it’s still there.

ETA: doesn’t look like it but a couple other cool places like Elgin Park and Lefty’s are there.

Cool area. We went into town for a drink and a snack. Kids wanted to rent lime scooters. But they are young and didn’t want to get in trouble. Ended up walking back to bmx track and I rented a scooter. So they rode around the parking lot for an hour. Just pulled into my house from the long drive home. I’ll be back for thanksgiving for the final race of the year at the expo center. Weather was great.

How long of a drive in the RV from Tucson?

Way too long! Around 16.5-17 I think. But I stop to fuel about every 400 miles, stretch and let the dogs out. Straight shot it there and on the way home. Next is Austin, then LA then back to Tulsa. Glad my kids love bmx!
