With any hope …

We are moving back towards the center - these high profile extreme left or right broadcasters have had their day in the sun. Let’s get back to Walter Cronkite, calling the news

Not to be confused with the news as he sees it. Just call the news.

The Dominion lies cost Fox 787 million. That can generate some hard feelings.

Do not forget that the left put out a documentary in March of 2020 on HBO called Kill Chain where they show average people hacking Dominion voting machines to change votes in a controlled environment. When they interviewed the CEO of Dominion and showed him the vulnerabilities, he had no comment and insisted his machines were secure. This was done to show how Trump was supposed to rig the 2020 election. All one would have to do is watch this movie in the wake of the 2020 election and draw parallels of what happened, but against Trump. The Air Force intel officer who explains the issues with the machines is brilliant.

It's my understanding, Walter Cronkite was actually very liberal. But, you couldn't tell it by his broadcasting. Cronkite was into sailboats. I learned of his political leanings from the CEO of Erickson Yachts, the sail boat manufacturer. Cronkite had purchased sailboats from them.

News people, teachers and such, should be like that. I should have no knowledge of their political leanings.

...but that's just my thoughts.

News people for the most part are, look at your local news. Hard to tell their leanings most of the time. Fox, CNN, MSNBC et al aren’t news, they are editorials.

You have to wonder if it was part of the settlement or Fox was pissed and let him go for costing them.

One of the best teachers/profs I ever had was a HS US History teacher. He taught us the history of our county like reading a very good book. You looked forward to class every day to see what was going to happen next. He taught us the cause and effect of various actions and events. I had no idea what his political leanings were. It was years later when I ran into him at a golf coarse and we were having a beer together that I realized he was actually extremely liberal.

I had a great class in college called 20th Century World History and there were 2 professors. One was a member of the Communist Party of the USA and the other was a staunch conservative former senator from Texas. The class met Tuesdays and Thursdays and on Tuesday you would learn something from one perspective and on Thursday, the same part in history from the other perspective. The communist drove a Yugo and the Texan drove a 1978 El Dorado with horns on the hood! I think we need more of this.

Broadcast news is not news; it is opinion, entertainment, and a product. The margin profile for opinion is much higher than reporting the news. Notice that networks often times publish opinions about other networks?

I don't regularly watch Faux News, but it seemed Tucker was going a little against the standard Faux Narrative the last many weeks.

Not going to lie, I havent watched political shows in 15+ years. Right or wrong, they are all predictable.
I’m with you on this. I also don’t watch/listen to the news anymore either. I find it’s just like when you’re off Facebook or IG for a while then get back on, you realize you haven’t missed a damn thing.

Fox fires @TuckerCarlson five days after he crosses the red line by acknowledging that the TV networks pushed a deadly and ineffective vaccine to please their Pharma advertisers. Carlson’s breathtakingly courageous April 19 monologue broke TV’s two biggest rules: Tucker told the truth about how greedy Pharma advertisers controlled TV news content and he lambasted obsequious newscasters for promoting jabs they knew to be lethal and worthless. For many years, Tucker has had the nation's biggest audience averaging 3.5 million — 10 times the size of CNN. Fox just demonstrated the terrifying power of Big Pharma.

There was a great website I used to read everyday. They were a smaller deal, but what they would do is grab headlines from different sources, worldwide. The topics were the same, but the reporting differed greatly. It was nice, because between all the sources, you could actually come up with better conclusions than any one would give you.

About the start of covid, that site and a few others went dark...almost as if someone didn't want you to see something.

And for all those Walter Cronkite fans out there....................

Cronkite was a former intelligence officer who was lured away from his UPI Moscow desk by Operation Mockingbird’s Phil Graham.

Corporate media at the level Walter Cronkite occupied, is rife with spooks, government agents, and disinfo operatives. The CIA has “important assets” inside every major news publication in the country, a fact established by numerous FOIA documents. A rare glimpse was also provided by Frank Church’s committee in the mid-70s.

“In the 1950s, outlays for global propaganda climbed to a full third of the CIA’s covert operations budget. Some 3, 000 salaried and contract CIA employees were eventually engaged in propaganda efforts. The cost of disinforming the world cost American taxpayers an estimated $265 million a year by 1978, a budget larger than the combined expenditures of Reuters, UPI and the AP news syndicates.”

Have you heard the gossip on the "Tik-Toc" law BS? It essentially does away with FOIA requests in concern with anything that is deemed "sensitive to national security"
Put simply, we are becoming China and Russia of the 1980s!

Yep, it's a Trojan horse 100%.

That's what they do, ALWAYS lie and spin to benefit from any action they take.

Im guessing he’s gonna go solo. Start a pod cast and company where he can be unfiltered and uncontrolled.

I’ve been a fan of Tucker for a long time, since his bow tie days and it’s interviews like the one posted above that you really get a glimpse at who he is. He’s a die hard lover and defender of this country. He comes off very down to earth and has been going through a lot of personal growth over past couple years. I’ve seen glimmers of his questioning his bosses, the people he’s supposed to defend, etc. he’s come to the point where he’s not gonna defend the “right” blindly. He’s gonna call any and everyone and that’s commendable I believe.

It's my understanding that he was not bringing in enough money for the network.
Carlson’s right-wing takes came under fire repeatedly, with advertisers boycotting the show after the host’s incendiary comments on the Black Lives Matter movement, mass shootings and Donald Trump. As the big advertisers have abandoned Tucker Carlson’s well rated primetime show, his network has recently opted to keep things in the Fox family, broadcasting an increasingly sizable number of “house ads” for Fox News, Fox Nation, Fox television and Fox Sports programming.

Whatever the left says or is willing to admit, it is safe to just assume the opposite. Look at 60 minutes last night.

They had fuckin Ray Epps on crying about how he had to sell his ranch and live in a 5th wheel because of the heat, and adamantly claiming he wasn't a fed. Yeah, 60 minutes had you. Thanks for the verification.

exactly. most of what people call the news is really just a one person talk show. In defense of Tucker he never claimed to be a newscaster unlike the people on CNN or Rachel madcow that claim to be investigative reporters.

Agreed. I’m fine with it if you lay your position out in the table up front.

It was released he was terminated with cause.
Fox is claiming the harassment lawsuits filed against him allowed for him to be terminated with cause and no severance.
Those lawsuits were filed months ago. Still stand by my comment, someone with $$$$$ wanted him gone

Number of shares means nothing. Blackrock owns 15% of Fox, 7% of Dominion and have zero BoD seats at both. While they own a large %, they have little influence unless something goes to shareholder votes, so your tin foil hat is working OT.

Tucker had the highest rated show on Fox and pulled in huge advertising money. You don’t fire that talent and let that advertising money walk, unless something else occurred.

One thing that discovery on the harassment lawsuits is showing, is his on air personality was different then what he said off air. That is a huge problem and could be a factor. Sooner of later it will be released why he left, then you can use the hat to figure it out.

My hat is ALWAYS working OT!!!

Both those percentages are significant, but it's the trillions in hedge fund money they control that makes them even more influential and a player in this scenario. Tucker did not align with the Uni-Party propaganda at Fox any longer and that is the reason he was let go.

It's typically about the money generally, but when you're the Murdochs, along with a Blackrock sponsorship, it doesn't mean much.

We will see how it plays out, but one thing is for sure, they will attempt to smear Tucker as the globalhomo cartel does with anyone who exposes them.

Yes… advertisers after his Jan 6 coverage.

Fox will be fine and so will Tucker.
