X2 on that. If it’s torsion you don’t even have to strap it. Make sure the other tires has good psi in the tire

There’s not that many manufacturers of bearings, geez. U think extreme manufacturers their own bearings, spindles, races, fk bearing makes most of them. Next you’re gonna say all the cars make their own springs? Common on doom and gloom

Also the bearings are pretty standard bearings for 5 lug. Should be able to find them pretty easily. Get a crescent and needle nose and get the part number

Strap it up air up other tire 5 psi over max and drive it under 55 to try and get to Barstow. Maybe easier to find a hub in morning.

In older days it was harder to find a bearing as they had to search it. today it’s piece of cake.certain weight axles use a bearing made for those.

As for bearing and race numbers there is one where bearing is same but race is slightly different. Ones automotive race other is trailer hub. 1 number difference on the race. Think race was l44610 for trailer and back then auto part store usually had l644111 today I just buy a 3500 pound axle kits

They go bad due to lack of maintenance.

Most everyone knows to change the oil and impeller on their boat, but they all forget trailers NEED maintenance too.

Check and repack the wheel bearings and replace the seals...

Replace the brake fluid...

Check all the lights and wiring...

Or don't.

Odds are if the bearing and hub are wiped out, the spindle is wiped out too.

Strap that that shit up and drive it for now.

Shadow in Havasu serviced both our Eagle trailers when we did the EoH conversion on them. That was two years ago now but I’ve had a light fixed since on mine.

Tires are a big thing, they need to be replaced at most every 5 years regardless of miles, and proper inflation is always key. Always check the pressures before you go. Grease bearings before you go. Better to take a few minutes at home to cover the basics than be stuck on the side of the road for hours.

I got stuck one time in the middle of the desert so I’m on top of bearing/tires maintenance. Literally doing it right now.

Yes. Temp reader on the center of the wheel. I’m standing there putting fuel in the tow vehicle it takes 30 seconds or less to check temps at each wheel and toss the temp checker back in the center console.

One of these days I’m going to get the Trailmaster remote tire air pressure monitor for the trailer wheels and then I can also see if there’s a problem via the tire pressure suddenly spiking due to bearing heat (or if tire has its own slow leak to flat).

I’ve spent too much time on the side of the road with trailers in my life. Lessons learned go into avoiding that as much as possible with tools and technology.

2 years ago when I lost a tire and tore the fender up. I took the opportunity to do a full service on the trailer
