Touchy situation, of course. Calling it the eradication of terrorists-ism and it softens the blow. Land owner or not can be labeled as sympathizers or supporters and removed.

Regarding more attacks, it really seems to be an ongoing thing no matter what. Better to deal with it now or...????

I am not smart enough nor do I know exactly what is going on over there but people are forced out of their homeland all the time. My great grandfather left near everything he owned and came to the USA in the late 1930's. The alternative was a lot worse.

Russia has been pushing boundaries and expanding territory a lot lately too. Ukraine, Georgia etc.

Trump is taking the other players past the sale on accepting the refugees.

If he came out and said "All the middle east neighbors must take the Gazan refugees" they would all refuse. Instead he says "We're gonna take over Gaza and make it paradise" they all go "Fuck that, why should the US get it? we want it" now they'll take the refugees and negotiate amongst each other on rebuilding.
