IMO, pretty smart! Calming the "political waters" allows for a clearer and smoother journey thus enhancing the odds he will successfully reach his destinations......;)

Time Magizine: President of the Divided States...... got to start somewhere...... why not at the top?

Lol. Well shit, was it the same "news" that told you Hillary was winning?
The same news that told you trump had no chance?
The same news that has been wrong on all counts for 18 months?

Let's assume that he did say that.
Have you not learned anything about Trump?
Do you think that a man used to a lavish and grand lifestyle, a man that is planning to systematically dismantle 8 years of oblamos so called legacy is going to give the trash currently occupying the wh a reason to leave a dead fish in a closet somewhere?
(That's a metaphor)

Trump may be a lot of things, but stupid isn't one of them.

From what I know most outgoing Presidents have left a note to there predecessor, other than that I've never heard of anything along the lines of a dead fish in a closet. Curious though, has there been anything like that?

So, basically what you are saying is "Hey look! Your guy isn't bashing the other side! Spewing out hatred against the opposition! He isn't fit to be president because he isn't trying to DIVIDE everyone like our guys!!" Is that what you are saying? Just because he acts civilized and composed, and doesn't bitch and moan and spread hate and discontent, you think he is backpeddling!!! Maybe you need to look at current hate mongers first....

What is it you want? You want him to badmouth and belittle the man he's replacing? Congeniality and class is what I'm seeing. You on the other hand appear to be seeking dirt and mud to sling.

You've established your point long ago. You hate Trump. We get it.

I despise Obama's politics and actions. If I met him though, I'd be polite. What would be the point in slamming him to his face? I'd mention I disagree with most all of what he'd done and stands for, but I would not rant into his face about it. It's what mature adults do.

Trump's being Presidential and it seems the whiners just can't handle the reality of it. The losing just keeps on going, that's what the sad part is of this whole election.

And for liberals, Trump acting in a presidential manner is something totally unexpected..... you know....like a "sucker punch" caught on the "blind side" as they haven't seen any presidential conduct in 8 years.....: ;)

Your come back line of the week I see.....Yup, everybody else but you type deal.

Keep searching. Gotta be some light out there at the end of some tunnel.

Sadly I'm far from being intelligent enough and too deplorable to figure out how this "walk back" comment fits as a one size fits all deal. But I do realize one has to have something to try and justify not having anything relevant to defend an obsession.;):skull

Is "walk back" the new, msm approved lib catch phrase of the week?:rolleyes

That's what I've been trying to figure out.....:headscratch:

When you ain't got anything else, I guess you gotta try something. Let's view it as the, "Stein Effect". An ongoing refusal to admit defeat where victory never existed, and push on down the path of futility.:skull

Simple...you guys obsessed with Trumps promises during the campaign, made excuses for him when he stepped in poo, now defend, and in some cases cheer his change of stances from his platform. That is my definition of walk back.
Btw, Ive been around here for 5 years or so, but only started reading P&G about 2 years ago and actively posted during this election(1 year ~). That said, most of the rhetoric here has been about how badly Obama has screwed up this country. Now Trump is having a Bromance with Obama and you guys say things like that is respectable, presidential, unifier, etc. Good grief, what happened to your principles, do you just simply alter them to whatever Trump is saying each day? :rolleyes
I look forward to discussing the big "Wall" when the appropriate time comes. ;)

Successful campaign rhetoric vs real world reality.... Got It!........... obviously you don't! :rolleyes

Surly you do not want to go down the pathways of Obama's empty campaign rhetoric. You should be very "well versed" by now....

You do understand that he is not the POTUS yet...right?

The contest is over, his strategy worked, he won.
NOW it's time to set about achieving the platform goals.

You say that varying from the campaign rhetoric is "walking back", I say that your literal translation of every word said during the campaign is simplistic.

Now if he doesn't actually proceed with attempting to achieve said goals, I will be right there with you lambasting him for it.
But I'm not going to judge his strategy until I see the results...if any.
He already proved EVERYONE wrong with his campaign strategy, lets see what he's up to now.

I get that your posts are emotionally driven, but an objective look might be in order?
It takes us right back to the fish in the closet.

Donald Trump is not an idiot. I believe that he now has a great deal of respect for Obama after meeting with him. It is very easy to talk shit until you find out what's really going on and what's really at stake. After his first few briefings, his mind has been blown (Obama had a similar revelation):

The Washington Post reported last month that Mr. Trump had turned away intelligence briefers several times, leaving the duty to his second-in-command, Mike Pence. Transition team officials dismissed the significance of Mr. Trumps schedule to the Post, however, saying that the president-elect was busy drawing up his cabinet and filling administration posts in the weeks following his election.

Every president I know -- and I worked under nine presidents -- every one has taken their intelligence daily brief because that sets the agenda for what you have to focus on as president of the United States, he noted.

Frankly, one of the concerns I have right now is that this president is not getting his intelligence briefings, Panetta, a former CIA director, said in an interview that aired Sunday. Hes taken a few of them, but hes not getting them every day.

If youre president of the United States, you better be in touch on a daily basis with your intelligence briefers, Panetta went on, so that you have an understanding as to whats -- what?s happening in the world, what are the crises you have to pay attention to, and what steps do you have to take in order to deal with those crises

Odd, one of the main knocks on obama was his disdain for intel meetings, to the point he did not go to them. He took written briefings. Hard to question the info that way...bottom line, keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. basics. walk that shit back.

Evidently, Obama was not one of them....:rolleyes
Independent Journal Review said:
The White House has a intelligence-focused Presidential Daily Brief scheduled for President Obama. But, according to a report by the Government Accountability Institute, the President has attended only 42.1% of them since he was sworn in.

But Obama did manage to find the time to play over 300 rounds of golf...... 65 more and we can call it one year of eight for golf!

I fail to see how President Elect Trump's expressing a polite public view to let Odipshit exit gracefully a "bromance".

Are you talking about the wall that the largest concrete company in Mexico is bidding on to construct?

http://www.theblaze.com/news/2016/11/24/mexican-cement-company-wants-to-build-trumps-wall/

For a guy that loves to laud "principles", you seem very hateful to our President Elect. Maybe let him take office, then see exactly what he "walks back".

I believe he's still playing the long game until he's actually sworn in, gotta keep the liberals off the streets you know....;)

No need to be briefed because from Day 1 he's going to change every damned thing in the world and force everyone on the planet earth and beyond to do things his way.....:yikes

How do I know, because that is all I've heard from his detractors since he announced he's running. Gotta be fact:rolleyes

I agree with the first part of your post.
Said all along that the first real briefing, when all is revealed, leaves every incoming potus shell shocked.
Especially one who has not come up through the corruption.
