Truly a day in the making for over a year……

Not trying to take away from @DILLIGAF over running the lounge, but today is an incredible day. This post could go sideways on me so I will try to choose my words carefully. Today was the first day that our LG Craft Ice cubes (ice balls) have descended from the molds into the tray. I still have to throw out the deformed one before anyone stops by to sample them.

Ice balls.......lol If you are gonna have a cold drink you have to have lots of ice for sure. Nothing like clean ice that cracks when you pour a drink on it

That is what happened with our Kenmore Elite counter depth 8 years ago so I am prepared for that. I also know of a few nigh dollar brands with the same issue, they are all the same these days. The days of 30 year old refrigerators are long gone. Now each of the homes we live in has two refrigerators in them so when….not if.…they go bad we can move things before they spoil. Got to love the technological improvements the world has experienced In my lifetime.

if you have hard water the ice molds in that thing will fail. my wife used to love that thing and the balls in made lol. after the third ice mold replacement I gave up on it. she bought a separate deluxe ice maker.

Hoping you have that extended warranty that only cost your 50% of the purchase price, that only takes 9 months to get someone to show up.

Dont get me started on this RANT… MFKRs…
got screwed hard by Home Depot warranty… (no I didn’t pay 50%), but it literally took over 9 months… but they finally gave me 100% of my $$$ back.
Honestly, it was not worth the hassle…
I shop Lowes now.. eff them .

It was really loud. I thought it was the regular ice. Then I realized it was the craft balls. I hope that once the tray is full it will not be as loud.

My balls dropped once again last night. Did about the same thing. This time did not get my ass off the couch. We shall see what tonight brings. LOL

the emptier the ice tray the louder it is when the balls clack.

Good to know that the sound is less as the tray fills….until it breaks of course then it is the quietest.

hey, when that craft ice maker fails remove the whole unit and let it thaw. what happens is when the balls are ready there is a failure to eject. Then it auto fills onto the already full molds. ....and then the whole thing freezes including the water that's now all over the shelves
