Why swap at 400k if it's still running well?Glad that are so many like minded people here, last car payment I made was July 31st 2000 to Connell Chevrolet, we wrote them a check for my 2000 C2500 crew cab and 395,000 miles later she is still rolling. I have a new engine on a stand in my garage, when I hit that 400k I'll swap it out. Just got back from the river this weekend and she ran and pulled like a champ, I wont win any races going up hill but we get there .
If I'm not mistaken, those have the 2UZ-FE Motors in them, same as my 2006 Tundra. Not a truck, but an SUV…
Picked up an 06 GX470 with 127k miles. Plan on keeping it 10+ years. It should have no problems towing my current boat, or the 210 hallett I’ll pick up one of these years… View attachment 1116796
That GX will outlive us allNot a truck, but an SUV…

Yep, that’s the one. I had an 03 Sequoia before this, and it was great. I would have been good keeping it, but I decided to “spoil myself.”If I'm not mistaken, those have the 2UZ-FE Motors in them, same as my 2006 Tundra.
If so, that's the engine that's gone a million miles.
Standard maintenance and a timing belt change every 100K and you're set.
Kind of one of the last motors you can still do a lot of the work on yourself, w/o being a certified tech.
I just updated the amp software in a bunch of all-new Sequoias that are headed out to the press.Yep, that’s the one. I had an 03 Sequoia before this, and it was great. I would have been good keeping it, but I decided to “spoil myself.”
What kind of front bumper is that?04 with 06-08 facelift. 285k and still ticking. Hoping for 350k and will probably rebuild her we had a rough year last year with some wear items but that could have been prevented and lesson learned. I will take replacing a water pump and alternator over a 1000 a month payment.
I am nervous also power is way down when towing, no trailer it rocks, just went up the ridge route yesterday on cruise control at 70 and it held at 2500 rpm all the way up.Why swap at 400k if it's still running well?
Thuren fabrication. What kind of front bumper is that?
